Khloé Kardashian Reveals the Kardashian-Jenners’ Annual Christmas Eve Party Is Canceled for the First Time in 42 Years
You might want to take a seat dolls because the news we’re about to tell you is a tough pill to swallow.
With great sadness, we report that the Kardashian-Jenners‘ have decided to cancel their annual Christmas Eve celebration due to the ongoing spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), marking the first time in history the family will not be ringing in the holidays with an epic bash.
Khloé Kardashian says the family’s annual Christmas Eve party has been put on hold this year
It seems that the Kardashian-Jenners’ upcoming Christmas Eve is going to be a quiet one.
After much speculation surrounding the family’s annual holiday celebration, Khloé Kardashian has officially confirmed the lavish soirée will not take place this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Covid cases are getting out of control in CA. So we decided that we’re not doing a Christmas Eve party this year,” she explained to a fan wanting intel on the family’s annual Christmas Eve party in a Dec. 6 tweet.
According to the Good American founder, this will be the first time in more than 40 years the family’s annual holiday party will not be happening. Though it’s a shame the coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on the famous bunch’s Christmas plans, Kardashian noted that health and safety must come first.
“It’s the first time we will not be having a Christmas Eve party since 1978 I believe,” she continued. “Health and safety first though! Taking this pandemic seriously is a must.”
For decades, the Kardashian-Jenner’s have been known for their lavish holiday celebrations. Just last year, Kourtney Kardashian took over the Christmas Eve party planning duties by throwing an extravagant holiday bash, complete with stunning décor, show-stopping entertainment, a real-life Santa Clause, and much more.
The Kar-Jenners’ 2020 holiday plans have been up in the air
This upsetting news comes a few weeks after Kardashian opened up about the possibility of her family holding their Christmas Eve party amid a global pandemic.
Despite the virus putting a hold on many family get-togethers this year, Kardashian revealed on Twitter that her family was still planning to celebrate the holidays — just in a safer way.
“I think it will have to be way smaller obviously. And I’m totally fine with that! But we’re definitely celebrating Christmas! It will just have to be small and safe. Maybe do rapid testing before,” she tweeted. We have to think of what is safest.”
Though that wasn’t a solid confirmation, many were convinced the KarJenners’ star-studded holiday shindig was still on. However, seeing as the coronavirus is still spreading rapidly throughout the country, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars have had to pivot away from all of their initial holiday plans.
“We have not done anything. No Christmas photos and no Christmas Eve party this year,” Koko recently told a Twitter user. “Covid has taken over.”
How will the Kardashian-Jenner’s celebrate Christmas this year?
Though it’s unclear how the Kardashian-Jenners’ will celebrate the holidays now that their annual Christmas Eve party has been canceled, it’s likely that whatever they decide to do, it will be a family affair.
While their holiday plans are still up in the air, we wouldn’t be surprised if the KarJenners just spent Christmas Eve at home with their respective families and gather early Christmas day to open gifts together in matching pajamas.
As of right now, there’s no telling what the famous bunch has in store for the holidays. But knowing the Kardashians, they will do whatever it takes to make this upcoming holiday season a memorable one!
