Khloé Kardashian Shares the Hardest Part of Her COVID-19 Diagnosis — and It Wasn’t the Challenging Symptoms
Khloé Kardashian is one of the millions of Americans who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), and she recently opened up about her diagnosis while sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres.
During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star looked back on her “super scary” experience after testing positive for the coronavirus back in March.
Though the illness was challenging to overcome, Kardashian reveals that being sick wasn’t the worst part of the disease. Instead, she says having to quarantine away from a special person in her life was even more difficult than dealing with the sickness itself.
Khloé Kardashian tested positive for COVID-19 this past spring
In a sneak peek clip of the upcoming episode of KUWTK, Kardashian reveals that she tested positive for the coronavirus and after she fell extremely ill.
The clip begins with Kim Kardashian West explaining that the entire family’s worried about the Good American founder, noting that she has a “gut” feeling her sister has the virus.
“I can tell that she’s now getting scared and she’s really nervous about it,” the KKW Beauty mogul says.
Momager Kris Jenner goes on to add, “I, of course, jumped on the phone with every doctor who would take my call, trying to find somebody that would help her.”
The clip then cuts to a sick Koko lying in bed as she reveals her COVID-19 diagnosis.
“I just found out that I do have corona. I have been in my room,” she shares. “It’s gonna be fine, but it was really bad for of couple days, vomiting and shaking and then hot and then cold.”
Kardashian adds that the symptoms were unlike anything she’s ever experienced, breaking down all that she went through while sick.
“I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache. I wouldn’t say it was a migraine,” she continues. “The cough in my chest would burn when I would cough. My throat is still not fully recovered, clearly. Let me tell you, that sh*t is real. But we’re all going to get through this. I’m praying if we all follow orders and listen, we’re gonna be OK.”
Kardashian recently opened up about her diagnosis on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Though Kardashian opened up about her COVID-19 diagnosis in the clip, she went into more detail about her illness while appearing on a new episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
While sitting down with the daytime talk show host, Kardashian opened up about her experience with the virus, noting that that was an “incredibly scary” time for everyone.
“It’s still scary, but especially then when the whole world was shutting down and we didn’t really have any information or the information we had just changed every single day,” Kardashian says. “It was just super, super scary.”
Recounting her symptoms, the Revenge Body host said she was “really sick” and explained that she started wearing a mask and gloves as a precaution as soon as she sensed herself becoming ill.
“I was really, really sick. I felt really quickly on that I was getting sick with something and I just wore a mask. I remember wearing gloves,” she says. “It was speculation all about COVID, but no one really knew. But we were all like, ‘There’s no way that I could have COVID.’ So I was still just really diligent, wearing masks. We got tested, my whole family got tested, and they came back and my results were positive.”
Kardashian added that though the rest of her family was “alarmed” at first, their tests came back negative.
Though the illness was challenging for Kardashian, being away from her daughter was much harder
After learning that she had tested positive for the coronavirus, Kardashian revealed that she quarantined in her room for 16 days.
While dealing with the sickness was no easy feat, being kept away from her 2-year-old daughter True proved to be the most challenging — and “heart-wrenching” — part for the reality star.

“We had to wait until I had negative test results for me to leave, and that was the hardest part,” Kardashian recalled. “I mean, I don’t care how beautiful of a place you have, being taken away from your child for that long, because I couldn’t be around my daughter, that was the most heart-wrenching thing.”
Fortunately, Kardashian seems to have made a full recovery and is back to being a hands-on mom to her adorable daughter, which is clearly the thing she missed the most while sick with the virus.
