Khloé Kardashian’s Friends Want Her to Reconcile with Tristan Thompson, Not Stay in ‘Weird Limbo,’ Source Says
Khloé Kardashian hasn’t had the best luck when it comes to her relationships. She has two children with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Fans of The Kardashians have followed Khloé’s highs and lows with Thompson, as he’s cheated on her multiple times. A source recently shared how the reality star appears to be in a “weird limbo” with her ex, as she spends a lot of time with him and enjoys their friendship.

Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson started dating in 2016. By 2017, Khloé was expecting her first child with Thompson. Unfortunately, Kardashian was rocked by a cheating scandal in 2018 and then another cheating situation involving Jordyn Woods. In 2021, it was revealed that Thompson was expecting another child with another woman. After a rocky few years, Kardashian announced she and Thompson were having another child together via surrogate in 2022.
Despite several scandals, Khloé doesn’t have it in her heart to hate Thompson. They remain friends. A source told In Touch Weekly in January 2025 that Khloé was “raving to everyone” around Christmas regarding “what a big support” Thompson is to her and their two children.
“The kids were thrilled to have him there for Christmas morning, and so was Khloé; she didn’t even mind missing out on the family Christmas Eve party because she had Tristan with her to keep her company,” the source claimed.
The insider noted that the exes have an “unconventional” relationship, but Khloé seems “happy” he remains in her life. However, “some of her friends are now saying it would be nice for them to actually be together instead of in this weird limbo,” the source added.
So, how does Khloé feel? “Khloé shuts down any talk about them getting back together,” the source said, noting that she “says she’s happy the way things are and doesn’t need the drama that will come with taking him back.”

Tristan Thompson deeply hurt Khloé Kardashian in the past. However, the reality star has nothing but love and respect for Thompson as a father to their two kids: True, 6, and Tatum, 1.
“My ex, Tristan, is an incredible father,” Khloé said on the SHE MD podcast in May 2024. “I don’t want this to be a bashing thing. He did make mistakes, but he’s the nicest guy, and we get along so well now. We’re not meant to be together, but he was meant to be the father of these kids. We do get along so well, and I’m really grateful for that because my parents got along so well.”
Khloé added that she feels “grateful” for Thompson wanting to remain in her life and making an effort for their kids. “I’m very lucky for that,” she continued. “I just want to move forward with our relationship as co-parents and how great of a dad he is.”

The trailer for the new season of The Kardashians doesn’t feature Tristan Thompson. However, Khloé Kardashian is seen with another one of her exes — Lamar Odom. Khloé and Odom were married from 2009 to 2016. They parted ways due to Odom’s infidelity and drug usage.
“I honestly think timing is everything,” Khloé says in the trailer. The next scene shows her talking to her mom, Kris Jenner, and her sister, Kim Kardashian.
“You guys are never gonna guess who I met with,” Khloé says. Then, Odom walks through the door with roses.
“That was the love of her life,” Jenner says with tears in her eyes. “I am devastated for my child.”
However, Khloé doesn’t have high hopes for the interaction. “I don’t know this person anymore,” she laments.
