Kim Kardashian West Keeps Track of Her Age in the Most Bizarre Way
When your life has been as interesting as Kim Kardashian West’s it can be hard to keep track of all the years. At age 39, the reality tv star has already had multiple careers and is looking to switch things up in a few years to pursue a career in law. Kardashian West has been open about the fact that since she was born in 1980, it’s always been easy for her to keep track of the decades. But, there’s another way that the KKW Beauty owner keeps track of her age this is far more unconventional.
In a recent interview with The Cut, Kardashian spent some time reminiscing about her 30’s. Even though she’ll be hitting a landmark age next year, she still remembers her 30th birthday in very specific detail. At the time, she was in New York filming one of the spin-off shows that came from Keeping Up with the Kardashians. “I remember exactly where I was. I was in New York City filming Kourtney and Kim Take New York. I was single. We were going to go to Vegas to celebrate my 30th birthday,” the aspiring lawyer recalls about the special occasion.
An iconic birthday present
Not only does Kardashian remember where she was when she turned 30, but she also remembers exactly what she was wearing the day she reached the iconic age. The reality TV star recalls that her sisters all pitched in to get her a gift she desperately wanted but never would’ve bought for herself. “My sisters saved up and got me these silver crystal-spike Louboutins that I dreamed of and would never have spent that much money on. And I wore this strapless silver dress, with long hair, and we partied and did a nightclub in Vegas,” the KKW Fragrance owner reminisced.
How Kardashian West keeps track of her age
But remembering what she was wearing is not unusual to Kardashian West. In fact, her fashion choices have often been used to mark her age or keep track of her time for herself. “Another way that I measure my time line, which is really ridiculous to a lot of people, but it’s my reality, is my glam periods. In the beginning of the decade, I was always wearing Louboutin heels. It was always about big, wavy hair, parted down the middle,” Kardashian West recalled about how she loved to dress at age 30.
KKW and her siblings had a similar style
The mom of four also recalls that her sisters had a very specific style at the top of the 2010s and she can easily see how their style evolved over the years as they aged. “We were doing everything as sisters at that point. The trio of Kourtney, Kim, and Khloe. Always leopard dresses and skintight Hervé Léger, shopping at Intermix. And then I began kind of elevating from that. I didn’t know who Carine Roitfeld was. I didn’t know any of that until I’d say, like, 2012, 2013, when I met Kanye. Well, not met, but really connected with him romantically,” Kardashian West admits.
Though it may be bizarre, it’s interesting that Kardashian West can use her fashion choices as a way to keep track of her age. We’re sure her fans are excited to see how her style evolves when she hits the big 4-0 next year.
