Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen’s Friendship: How These Two Celebrities Have Remained Close Over The Years
For the past 9 years, Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian West have not only become the most talked about celebrities, but they have also become great friends with a bond not many people can say they have with another person.
From attending each other’s weddings to helping one another through their pregnancies, Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian have established a close friendship that just keeps getting better with the years.
They met back in 2010
Before Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian became Hollywood’s most glamorous gal-pals, they actually met for the very first time during a double date.
Teigen was dating singer John Legend at the time and Kardashian was in a relationship with then-boyfriend and NFL player Reggie Bush.
Chrissy Teigen revealed that she and Kardashian hit it off from the start and established an unbreakable bond while they were in the bathroom.
According to Teigen, “I remember this because I was so nervous to meet you. I don’t know. I’d been watching. I knew all about you. I felt kind of like a weirdo… You made me feel so much better because we went to the bathroom and you had me zip you up. [I was like] ‘Oh my gosh! She has Spanx on. She’s cool. She’s normal.’ Yeah I remember that pretty well for some reason.”
From that moment on, both women knew that was the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
Kim couldn’t make Chrissy’s wedding
After the the double date, Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen have been spotted hanging out together on multiple occasions.
In 2012, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend spent New Year’s Eve dancing the night away with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West at 1OAK Nightclub in Las Vegas.
On September 14, 2013, Chrissy Teigen married John Legend in Italy with close family and friends in attendance.
Although Kim Kardashian couldn’t make the wedding due to her daughter, North, just being born, she made sure Kanye West gave her all of the details surrounding her BFF’s big day.
“I didn’t go…[North] was just born and I was so fat, and I had nothing to wear so he kept texting me: ‘Babe, this is the most beautiful wedding,’ ‘Babe, this is so pretty. I wish you were here.’ Literally a play-by-play text…We got into the biggest fight. [I was like,] ‘Just stop texting me. Go enjoy the wedding, you’re making me feel so bad,” Kardashian revealed in a video uploaded to her app.
Even though Kim was not able to attend the wedding, that did not stop Chrissy from missing out on her good friend’s big day.
In 2014, Kim Kardashian married Kanye West in Florence, Italy. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were front and center for this well awaited day. They even have a funny memory to look back on, one in which Teigen still cringes about.
Chrissy Teigen revealed, “John and I got in the biggest fight … that you have ever seen in your whole life … You know when you think everything’s about you? I was like, “we ruined the wedding and everyone noticed” and everyone’s like “no, not really, nobody noticed.” … This was before [John sang the first dance song] ’cause I remember standing with your [Kim’s] mom and being so mad at him and everyone was like: “he’s so amazing, isn’t he amazing?” and I was like, “No!”
They’ve helped each other through motherhood
Like any close friends, Chrissy Teigen, and Kim Kardashian have found that they relate to each other on a personal level when it comes to being a mom.
Shortly after Chrissy Teigen gave birth to her daughter, Luna, in 2016, the two women looked towards each other when it came time to vent about the exhaustion mothers
Kardashian and Teigen even credit each other for getting through the obstacles of being new mothers and have even gotten closer because of that. I think it’s brought us closer,” Kim said. “Because when you’re a mom and you figured it out, you want to tell all your friends.”
Teigen revealed, “Everyone knows this. You helped us find the doctor for IVF and a lot of the same things…you taught me everything.”
They attend each other’s events
Along with making time to go on double dates, Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian
In December 2018, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend attended The Annual Kardashian Christmas party at the West household in Calabasas.
A few weeks later, the Wests attended John Legend’s 40th birthday party and had a great time testing their luck out at the James Bond-themed soiree.
Kim, Chrissy, Kanye, and John even posed together in a few photo ops from the night.
Not only do Teigen and Kardashian like partying together, but their kids also get along quite well.
Just a few weeks back, Kardashian West held an Alice and Wonderland themed birthday party for her youngest child, Chicago.
Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen have shown the world that they will remain in each other’s lives and have no intention of breaking the bond they established over their nine-year friendship!
