Fans claimed Kim Kardashian photoshopped her belly button out of recent photos
On Apr. 24, Kim Kardashian shared a series of photos on Instagram. The three pictures showed the shapewear mogul wearing a flesh-toned bra and underwear set from her SKIMS collection and a pair of dark sweatpants by a pool.
The high-cut underwear peeked out several inches above the waistband of Kardashian’s pants, and her belly button is not visible in the photos.
“You forgot to leave in your bellybutton!” one fan commented on the photo, while another fan wrote, “Where on earth is your belly button, yo??”
Kim Kardashian responded to the backlash from fans over her missing belly button
On Apr. 26, Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram Stories to defend herself against trolls who commented on her belly button in her recent pictures.
She shared a screenshot of a Daily Mail Article titled, “‘Where on earth is your belly button?’ Kim Kardashian’s fans call her out on epic ‘photoshop fail’ as she shows off her very svelte waist in a SKIMS scoop neck bra and high-waisted briefs.”
In the following slide, the reality star shared a screenshot from Page Six titled, “Kim Kardashian accused of yet another Photoshop fail on Instagram.” She captioned the image, “Come on guys…. Seriously! This is so dumb!”
Kardashian continued, “Claiming I photoshopped out my belly button????”
In the next slide, she shared a boomerang of the original photos and wrote, “Belly button insecurities?! Well… why don’t you head on over to skims.com to conceal that saggy belly button of yours with a great pair of high waisted underwear like I did! You’re welcome!!!”
Other members of the famous family have been scorned for ‘Photoshop fails’
Kim Kardashian might think fans are “dumb” for accusing her of Photoshopping her belly button, but she and her family family have been called out several times for digitally altering their Instagram photos.
For example, in October 2020 Kardashian shared a photo of herself and two of her sisters, Kourtney and Khloé, on a beach celebrating her 40th birthday. Besides getting heat for traveling amid global lockdowns caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Kardashian also received several comments about edits made to the photo. Many fans remarked that her arm appeared to be missing.
In May 2020, fans accused Khloé Kardashian of editing a photo so heavily that she accidentally removed half of her necklace from an image she shared on Instagram.
And in August 2019, Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner were dragged on Twitter for pictures that seemed to be edited so much that both sisters appeared to have six toes on one foot.
