Kim Kardashian started 2025 as a single woman and hasn’t dated anyone since mid-2024. While Kardashian is known for dating (or marrying) high-profile public figures, a source told Life & Style that she feels “empowered” to take her time finding the right partner.
“Kim is enjoying herself and she absolutely wants to be in a relationship again someday,” the source alleged. “She just doesn’t feel in a big rush.”
The insider added that Kardashian’s current stint as a single woman is “the longest she’s ever been single in her adult life,” which has proven to be “a great learning experience.” Kardashian gave herself time “to get to know herself and really zero in on what makes her happy.” Additionally, the media mogul feels “empowered,” as she knows she “doesn’t need a man in her life.”
“If they check all the boxes and add to her life then great, but they need to prove themselves over time before they get to that next level,” the insider continued.
The source alleged that Kardashian calls dating “interviewing.” And she doesn’t feel “ready to debut anyone as her official boyfriend yet; that has to be earned.”
“She’s very empowered so it’s a lot easier for her to be more discerning, versus before, when she felt like her happiness was contingent on being in a relationship,” the source continued. “It’s made dating a lot more fun because there’s no pressure.”
Previously, a source told Us Weekly that Kardashian began “dating someone new” in December 2024, but she hoped to keep the romance “very under wraps.”

Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian infamously began dating in October 2021 and called it quits in August 2022. And her ex-husband, Kanye West, didn’t help. “Don’t forget Kanye pretty much threatened his life, and Pete took that very seriously; he was terrified day and night after that,” the source continued. “He could hardly sleep, and anywhere he went outside the house, he felt unsafe ….”

“There are reports Kim is ‘privately dating a real estate investor.’ Just like Khloe was also ‘privately dating a businessman’ a year back or so,” the source alleged. “They have never been seen in restaurants or out and about. Kim and Kris just spread the word to make it seem like it’s not ‘poor Kim, why won’t anyone date her.’ Kim does not have a boyfriend — but Kris doesn’t want it to look like men don’t want to date her.”
