Kim Kardashian Was Invited to a ‘Bridgerton’ Fitting
Somehow, despite having her own reality show, four children, and multiple businesses, Kim Kardashian West still finds some downtime. It’s impressive, especially considering she is a newly-minted billionaire. According to Forbes, the performance of her shapewear company, SKIMS, likely pushed her over the edge. But just like the rest of us, Kim binge-watches Netflix whenever she has a spare second, and just like the rest of us, she’s head over heels for Shonda Rhimes’ newest hit, Bridgerton.
Kim Kardashian is a big ‘Bridgerton’ fan
According to People, Kim revealed that the soundtrack to Bridgerton has the ability to bring her to tears. Kim was getting facial treatments with celebrity esthetician, Shani Darden. According to the Instagram post, the Bridgerton soundtrack was playing in the background. The reality TV star wrote “All the feels are coming back!!! Why is the @bridgertonnetflix soundtrack on while I am trying to relax and get a facial.”
Not only do the events in Bridgerton’s first season give Kim “the feels,” but the fact that the Duke won’t be coming back next season is a real tragedy according to the middle Kardashian sister. Kim wrote “I might start crying thinking about how The Duke isn’t coming back. Just when I thought I was over it!! @bridgertonnetflix.”
Indeed, Rege-Jean Page’s departure from the hit show has many fans close to tears. The next season will focus on different characters entirely, so many of the original cast is moving on. But the Duke was such a hit that Netflix offered him $50,000 an episode for a three-episode guest appearance. Page declined, saying he wants to focus on other projects.
Nicola Coughlan revealed that Kim Kardashian was actually part of ‘Bridgerton’ in a way
Nicola Coughlan will be back to reprise her role as Penelope Featherington, and Kim is definitely thankful. Kim may love Penelope Featherington, but what she didn’t know is that she was actually part of the Featherington clan, in a way. After Kim posted her Bridgerton fangirl tweets from the esthetician, Nicola Coughlan responded to Kim in a tweet.
She wrote “As the world’s number one @bridgerton Stan does @KimKardashian know that the Kardashians were a massive inspiration for the Featheringtons and we talked about them all the time during our fittings? Because I feel like she should know this.”
It makes sense that the Kardashians would be the inspiration behind this fictitious and over-the-top family since they are basically American royalty. But this epic exchange didn’t end there. Kim replied to Coughlan.
Nicola Coughlan invited Kim Kardashian to a ‘Brigerton’ fitting
When Kim got word of Coughlan’s tweet, she was ecstatic. “WHAT?!?! I am freaking out!!!!!! This tweet was sent to me on my @bridgerton group chat! Can I please come to a fitting?!?! It would make my whole life!!!!!! I love you Lady W!!!” Coughlan replied that Kim could definitely attend a fitting. She also revealed that Kim has been more of an inspiration to the show than anyone realized.
Apparently, the same artist who made Kim’s infamous Met Gala corset made Penelope Featherington’s right after. The 2019 Met Gala dress was so tight that she couldn’t sit down, and didn’t eat or drink for fear of having to go to the bathroom. There’s no news on when Kim will attend a Bridgerton fitting, but there will definitely be buzz on social media when it happens.
