Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Have Been Fighting Since the Rapper Doesn’t Want Their Kids Raised ‘Fake LA’ Insider Says
It’s truly the end of an era. As the Kardashian Jenner complete their final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, this might also mark the end of power couple, Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West. It’s been a decade since the businesswoman and rapper stunned everyone with their whirlwind romance.
The Skims founder was coming out of a short-lived marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries, and the “Jesus Walks” rapper was right there to swoop her off her feet. The couple welcomed their first child, North West, in 2013 and were married the following year. Since then, they’ve welcomed three more children, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Now, it appears that amid different lifestyles and goals, the pair are set to go their separate ways. As the KKW Beauty mogul and the music producer prepare for their split, it seems that a major point of contention will be where their children live.
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are preparing for divorce
It’s no secret that 2020 was a challenge for everyone. Things allegedly began getting tense in the West household amid quarantine where the KUWTK star was handling the household and raising four children while the rapper refused to pitch in.
Things got even more intense when the College Dropout star decided to run for President of the United States amid the contentious 2020 elections. It also didn’t help that he had many public outbursts caused by his bipolar disorder that greatly troubled Kardashian West. As the aspiring lawyer focuses on raising her children in LA, West lives on his ranch in Wyoming.
“This divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot,” a source told Page Six. “She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer; she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile, Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy sh*t, and she’s just had enough of it.”
Kim Kardashian West will reveal her marriage struggles on the final season of ‘KUWTK’
Though West has appeared on KUWTK sporadically, he has never been a fan of the reality series. As a result, their four children don’t appear on the show often either. However, now that the long-running reality show is set to air its final season this year, Kardashian West is about to get candid about the end of her marriage.
“The Kardashians intend to go out with a bang,” the source shared with Page Six . “They’ve filmed Kim discussing her marriage problems. But everybody involved is on a nondisclosure agreement because the finale won’t screen until later in 2021.”
For his part, though no documents have been filed, West is aware that the divorce is imminent.
“In reality, he’s been sick of being involved with [the] Kardashians for a long while,” the insider explained. “Especially her mother, who looms large in all big decisions she makes. He is quite familiar with what the Kardashian public relations machine is capable of and thinks it’s funny that her team is blaming his presidential run on the marriage disintegration.”
Kanye West doesn’t want his children to be raised in ‘fake LA’
Though the soon-to-be-former couple are co-parenting well at the moment, the divorce might get contentious since West does not want the children to be raised in LA. Kardashian West has spent her entire life in LA and wants to continue raising her children near her family in Calabasas. West, however, appears to have other hopes. An insider explained to Hollywood Life,
Kanye has plans for the family to have a compound. It’s outside of L.A. in the desert somewhere. He’s absolutely done with living in L.A. and feels everyone and everything is fake. He doesn’t want to bring his children up that way. He wants to build a compound in the desert. The geography of them as a family unit right now is a large source of the tension between them, but things are starting to get better as they begin communicating.
Though Kardahsian West is happy to visit the compound with her children, she’s apparently made it clear that LA is her home.
