Kim Kardashian West and Larsa Pippen Are Still Friends but Aren’t as Close as They Were Before

It seems that there’s no bad blood between Kim Kardashian West and Larsa Pippen. Even though the longtime friends no longer follow each other social media, it turns out that the pair didn’t have a falling out. Instead, sources reveal that Kardashian West and Pippen ultimately grew apart, despite being fixtures in each other’s lives for several years.

When news broke that Kardashian West and Pippen had unfollowed each other on Instagram, many were shocked by this information.

For the last few years, Pippen has been a close friend of the Kardashian family. Not only has she frequently attended the reality stars’ parties and gone on lavish vacations with Kim and Kourtney, she’s also made appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

But after Kanye West tweeted “Larsa” and then deleted it as part of his recent Twitter rant, fans were immediately curious. They soon realized that the Kardashians had all unfollowed Pippen as far back as July 10.

Rumors began swirling that a possible feud may have occurred since Pippen had practically deleted all traces of the Kardashians from her Instagram feed.

Fans also noticed that the reality stars failed to wish Pippen a happy birthday on July 6, which they typically do.

Though the Kardashians and Pippen have remained mum on speculations that they’re feuding, the former Real Housewives of Miami star addressed the controversy in a message posted to her Instagram Story on July 22.

“I woke up this morning blessed and see that everybody is focused on who I am following and who I am not following on social media,” she wrote. “I am focused on my children, my new fitness brand Larsapippenfitness, and my relationships in real life.”

She added, “Praying that everybody finds peace in their own lives and focus on what brings M happiness.”

Sources say the longtime BFFs just ‘grew apart’

Although fans were convinced that a possible falling out was why Pippen and Kardashian West had unfollowed each other, it turns out that that isn’t what led to their decision to distance themselves.

According to Page Six, the women are still friends but have just grown apart in recent months.

“[Pippen and Kardashian] are friends, but not close friends,” an insider recently told the outlet.

A separate source further explained the reason why the longtime BFFs are no longer close, noting to E! News that they have been focused on their own lives lately.

“The friendship just naturally grew apart over a period of time because life happens. Kim is focused on matters at home—getting Kanye [West] healthy, her four young kids, law school and juggling her businesses,” the source shared. “They are just in a different place in their lives and are not as close as they used to be, but have no ill feelings at all and still stay in touch.”

As for why Kardashian West unfollowed Pippen Instagram, it turns out that her reasoning isn’t nearly as dramatic as many initially assumed.

“She unfollowed everyone all together because there were a lot of random accounts,” the insider said. “She wanted to reset it just to her family and childhood friends. For Kim’s own mental health she wanted to narrow down what was showing up on her feed. There are a lot of people she is still friends with who she doesn’t follow on social media.”
