Although she wasn’t a household name until the mid-2000s, Kardashian West had several Hollywood connections. As the childhood friend and former employee of Paris Hilton, the SKIMS founder soon met multiple celebrities, including Brandy and Ray J. Kardashian West and Ray J later dated in the early 2000s.
While working as the singer’s stylist on the set of Moesha, Kardashian West met Cannon. The Love Don’t Cost A Thing actor was instantly attracted to her, even though she and Ray J were a couple. Once Ray and Kardashian West parted ways, she started dating Cannon.
The E! star and the TV host were often seen together at star-studded events throughout their relationship. In Sept. 2018, the actor said he’s “almost 100 percent sure” he introduced Kardashian West to her future husband during one of their date nights.
“Me, Kim, and Paris Hilton went to a club in New York, Lil Kim was there … Kanye came to my table, and I was like ‘Yo, meet my chick, Kim,’” Cannon shared with VladTV.
Why did Nick Cannon dump Kim Kardashian West?
Cannon and Kardashian West continued dating until 2007. Just months before the series premiere of KUWTK, the Masked Singer host broke up with her.
In a 2012 interview with Howard Stern, Cannon said the relationship suffered when Kardashian West allegedly lied about her 2003 sex tape with Ray J.
“This was my issue,” he said (via The Huffington Post). “We talked about this tape…And she told me there was no tape. If she might have been honest with me, I might have tried to hold her down and be like, ‘That was before me’ because she is a great girl. She’s actually one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape? And I still think she might have even had a part to play with [its release].”

After their renowned 72-day union ended, the reality star began dating her longtime friend, West. The pair married in 2014 and have four children-North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West. However, amid multiple breakup rumors, Kardashian West officially filed for divorce from West in Jan. 2021.
Since their split, the entrepreneur has shot down any reports that she’s dating someone new. Most recently, she and Khloé Kardashian supported West at his listening party for his album, Donda.
