Kim Kardashian West Denies Claims She Booed Tristan Thompson at the Basketball Game; “I Was There to Support Him”
Kim Kardashian West is setting the record straight on those claims that she flat-out booed Khloé Kardashian’s ex, Tristan Thompson, during his basketball game.
Earlier this week, reports of Kardashian West giving off bad vibes to her sister’s cheating ex came out the woodwork, with many claiming that this was the reality star’s way of being a bit shady.
While this wouldn’t be the first time the Skims founder has thrown shade someone’s way, Kardashian claims this whole situation was taken out of context.
Kardashian West shut down these rumors with a simple tweet
Kardashian West might not be the biggest fan of Thompson, but that doesn’t mean she has to throw shade at him every time they’re in the same room.
On January 14, many were confident the reality star still had ill-feelings towards her sister’s ex after it appeared that she was rooting for everyone but KoKo’s baby daddy during the Los Angeles Lakers vs the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball game.
While sitting court side with husband, Kanye West, and Friends star Courteney Cox, Kardashian watched as the game played out. She even stood to her feet a couple of times as she got more into the athletic event.
To some, it seemed like the KKW mogul was having a grand ‘ol time, but to others, it looked like she had used this fun moment to throw a little shade Thompson’s way.
Several fans posted videos from the game to social media, which appeared to show Kardashian booing Thompson as he attempted to make a basket at the free throw line.
Though many were convinced this was just Kardashian’s way being a little bit shady, the reality star recently took to Twitter to make it clear that that was not what she was doing at all.
“I was there to support him!” she tweeted out on January 14. “And was cheering screaming LETS GO TRISTAN!!!!! I would never go boo anyone. I don’t go to hate, only to cheer!”
Thompson has had a rocky relationship with the KarJenner clan
Though Kardashian West admits she was showing Thompson some support during his game, there is a clear reason why everyone initially assumed she being shady toward him.
With the NBA player’s multiple cheating scandals and the fact that he broke the Good American founder’s heart more times than once, the mother of four hasn’t really been able to overlook Thompson’s past behavior.
After news of him allegedly hooking with Kylie Jenner’s former BFF, Jordyn Woods, came to light early last year, the KarJenners haven’t wanted anything to do with Thompson since.
While he has attempted to get back in the family’s (and Khloé’s) good graces, the famous bunch can’t seem to just forgive and forget—especially the KKW mogul.
Back in December 2019, the KKW mogul made it clear that Thompson was of no importance to her after she brutally shaded him during the Kardashian-Jenner’s annual Christmas party.
While thanking everyone who came to A-list shindig, Kardashian failed to mention baby True’s dad, even though she gave a shout-out to her rest of her sisters’ exes.
“To the Kardashian, Jenner, West, Disick, Webster, am I missing anybody, party,” she said.
While it may seem like Kardashian has had a change of heart since then, we’re pretty sure she still isn’t a fan of Thompson and only tolerates him for the sake of her sister.
