Kim Kardashian West Freaks People Out by Doing Something Strange When She Sleeps

A few years back, the KKW Beauty founder took to her website to reveal several odd and little-known facts about herself. However, with that site and her app no longer in existence, those who missed all the strange facts are digging through the archives to see what they never knew about her. Here are a few you might have missed, plus the creepy thing Kanye West’s wife does when she sleeps that totally freaks people out.
Kim does this when she sleeps
The mother-of-four has discussed her bedtime routine in the past and stated that going to bed at night is actually one of her favorite things to do. She also previously shared how much sleep she typically gets per night and what time she usually turns in.
“I go to bed when the kids go to bed. I don’t drink, I don’t stay out late at night. So I think that really does help,” Kardashian West said in an interview with Sunrise.
And when she sleeps, she does something that really freaks her family out.
“I sleep with my eyes slightly open and it scares the s**t out of people,” the reality star admitted (as noted by the Metro).
Kardashian West isn’t alone when it comes to that strange sleeping habit. The National Sleep Foundation estimates that as many as 20% of people sleep with their eyes either partially or fully open.
According to Healthline, the medical terminology for it is called “nocturnal lagophthalmos.” It can be caused by problems with the nerves or facial muscles, making it difficult for some to keep their eyes fully closed. But for others, sleeping with their eyes open has no apparent cause.
Sticking with the beauty mogul’s eyes and sleeping habits, she also revealed that she has a freckle on her eyeball and sometimes sleeps in full makeup to preserve that look for a few days.

Something else you may not have known about Mrs. West is that she’s kind of obsessed with teeth. She has veneers and “a permanent retainer on [her] teeth inside that you can’t see.”
When it comes to her fears, the SKIMS creator stated that she went skydiving when she was 20 years old but now she’s afraid of heights.
She also mentioned that she’s bothered by the sound of cardboard.
“I hate the sleeve on a Starbucks cup. I leave the room for someone to take it off for me because I cringe from the sound,” she explained. “It’s like nails on a chalkboard for me. I hate cardboard.”
