Kim Kardashian West Reveals Some of the ‘Craziest’ Things Paris Hilton Used To Carry in Purses From the Early 2000s
If anyone knows the real Paris Hilton, it’s Kim Kardashian West. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has been best friends with the hotel heiress since the early aughts, and throughout the years, she’s learned a thing or two about Hilton’s interesting habits.
One tidbit the KKW Beauty mogul recently shared about Hilton is that she used to carry some of the “craziest” things in her purses during their early 2000s heyday — that is until Kardashian West gifted her BFF that iconic Louis Vuitton metallic handbag.

Kardashian West and Hilton are making the 2000s cool again by bringing velour tracksuits back.
On Oct. 17, the longtime besties made headlines when they revealed that they’re launching their own velour collection for the reality star’s loungewear line, Skims.
Hilton and Kardashian West — who were often pictured together in velour tracksuits when they first rose to fame in the early 2000s — recreated the throwback moment by posing for photos and videos wearing their new velour tracksuits with oversized sunglasses and designer handbags, just like they used to do back in the day.
“Besties for life!!! Me and @parishilton in our skims velour,” the KUWTK star wrote on Instagram. “U guys have no idea how tracksuits were our uniform and so happy to make a skims version.”
Hilton also expressed her excitement for their new tracksuit line by sharing a Skims campaign video of herself and Kardashian West donning high-waist velour joggers as well as matching hoodies and crop tops while posing for photos.
“So much fun shooting this campaign for the new @SKIMS Velour Collection with @KimKardashian!” she captioned the post. “SKIMS is bringing back one of my favorite iconic 2000s trends & giving it a major upgrade. Loves it!”
Kardashian West has been working on this new line for more than a year and recently spoke with Vogue about the inspiration behind the loungewear.
“Velour is one of my favorite collection launches to date! It’s the perfect blend of 2000s nostalgia and present-day loungewear,” she explained, before Hilton added, “I’m living in sweatsuits right now. The Velour collection is perfect for looking hot while being comfy.”

Those who were fans of Kardashian West and Hilton back in the day know that their famous velour tracksuits weren’t complete without the iconic Louis Vuitton metallic purses.
The designer handbags were a staple in the dynamic duo’s wardrobe back in the early 2000s, so of course, the besties dusted off their bags and paired them with their new velour tracksuits, just as they did in the Noughties.
Kardashian West even shared the story behind the iconic bags in a new video posted to Hilton’s feed.
In the clip, the reality star teased her best friend by discussing the “craziest” things Hilton used to carry in her purses, including “hundreds of crumpled up dollar bills,” pieces of paper and pens, sticker books, chapstick, “every kind of beauty product you could imagine,” and more.
Kardashian West recalls that she was gifted the metallic Louis Vuitton bags for Christmas and gave Hilton the gold one. But, before allowing Hilton to carry the bag around during their trip to Australia, Kardashian West had one rule for her best friend that she made sure the hotel heiress followed.
“I would not let her put one thing in it. I made her carry an empty bag all around town because she would have destroyed the bag,” Kardashian West explained as Hilton chuckled. “So, because of my quick thinking, they still exist and are in perfect condition because I was so afraid of what Paris would do to my bags.”
So, it seems that once you’ve matched your enormous silver Louis Vuitton bag with your bestie’s enormous gold Louis Vuitton bag, you truly will be friends for life.
