In a recent Instagram Q&A with fans, Kardashian West shut down rumors that she and the Blink-182 drummer have a romantic past, making it clear that they’ve never been anything more than just friends.
Travis Barker’s ex-wife claimed he ‘hooked up’ with Kim Kardashian West
On May 18, Barker’s ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, put Kardashian West on blast during an interview with Us Weekly.
While speaking with the outlet, Moakler alleged that the reality star is the reason her marriage to the drummer ended, claiming that she “caught” the two having an affair before filing for divorce.
“I divorced my ex because, I saw them — I caught them having an affair,” Moakler said.
The model made the same claim a few days prior in an alleged screengrab Alabama Barker — her and Barker’s 15-year-old daughter — posted on her Instagram Story.
“I divorced Travis because I caught him having an affair with Kim. Now he’s in love with her sister,” the message read.
Naturally, fans were curious if Moakler’s allegations were true, especially since Barker admitted to having a crush on the SKIMS founder back in 2015.
Though both parties kept a tight lip on these rumors at first, Kardashian West has finally spoken out to finally set the record straight.
Kim Kardashian West denies affair rumors
On May 26, Kardashian West took to her Instagram Stories to answer a few questions from fans.
During a Q&A session, one fan directly asked the mother of four, “Did you hook up with Travis Barker?” which she candidly denied.
“NO! False narrative!” she wrote. “We’ve been friends for years and I’m so happy for him and Kourt.”
There’s only one Kardashian for Travis Barker
Though Barker and Kardashian West never hooked up, they have maintained a friendship throughout the years while living nearby each other in Calabasas.
Although things between them have remained platonic, Barker’s relationship with the reality star’s older sister recently turned romantic.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Barker was dating Kourtney Kardashian after years of friendship.
In February 2021, the two went public with their romance by sharing an Instagram photo of their hands intertwined on their respective accounts.
Since then, the Blink-182 musician and the Poosh founder haven’t shied away from packing on the PDA and sharing lovey-dovey posts on social media.
Barker has even got tattoos in honor of Kardashian, including one of her name on his chest. He also has “I love you” written on his arm, which the reality star inked on him herself.
Though he might have had a thing for Kardashian West back in the day, it seems Barker now only has eyes for Kourtney.
