Kim Kardashian West Shares Her Trick to Make ‘Perfect’ Cornbread Muffins, But Fans Doubt Her Cooking Skills
The Kardashian-Jenner clan can definitely afford to have chefs cook all their meals for them but Kris Jenner and her daughters apparently know their way around a kitchen.
The Kar-Jenner siblings have each shared photos and recipes for a number of their go-to dishes. For Kim Kardashian West though, she likes to keep the way she cooks up her soul food dishes a secret. However, the KKW Beauty mogul has shared some tips and tricks including how to make what she calls “perfect cornbread muffins,” but not everyone thinks her cooking skills are up to par.
Kardashian West has shared plenty of photos of her soul food dishes
Kardashian West has been sharing photos of her soul food dishes for years.
A feast she made for her sister Kylie Jenner and her daughter North in 2016 prompted the hashtag #SoulfoodSunday on social media. That time she made mac and cheese, green beans with ham, collard greens, and fried chicken.
While the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star didn’t share her full recipes for those dishes, she did offer some tips. As noted by People she explained, “Top banana pudding with crumpled up Nila wafers. Let your green beans stew for an hour to an hour and a half to get them ‘really soft.'”
Her hack for ‘perfect’ cornbread muffins
To go along with another home-cooked meal which included peas and rice, green beans and bacon, Jamaican jerk chicken, a sweet potato soufflé, and fried chicken, Kardashian West whipped up some cornbread muffins. For that meal, she revealed the way she gets the muffins crispy and “perfect.”
“The special key to making my cornbread is I take the cups, I line them in butter, then sugar…so it’s crispy all the way around with delicious sugar,” she said in a Snapchat video as she sprinkled the sugar into the cups of the muffin tin. The SKIMS founder then filled the cups with the cornbread batter and added some honey to the mixture to make it “extra sweet.”
The reality star still gets trolled for her cooking
While it seems like Kardashian West is a natural in the kitchen considering how much effort some of these dishes take, not everyone is buying it. Some fans just can’t believe she has the type of cooking skills these meals require considering that her specialty used to be instant ramen noodles.
Then there are other fans who do believe that she has learned how to make some new things over the years but troll her over the pics of the meals she posts every chance they get.
This was the case in July when a pic the mother-of-four posted a few years back resurfaced online. Fans took turns guessing what the cuisine actually was while bashing how it looked. The conversation gained so much traction that it started to trend and Kardashian West hopped on Twitter to set the record start, stating that it was sweet corn truffle pasta from one of her favorite restaurants.
