Tristan Thompson publicly apologized to Khloé Kardashian and revealed he is the father of Maralee Nichols’ son
On Monday, Jan. 3, Thompson released a statement on his Instagram Stories revealing that he is the father of Maralee Nichols’ child.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols,” he wrote. “I take full responsibility for my actions.”
Thompson included an apology to Khloé Kardashian, his on-and-off partner since 2016, in the statement. “Khloé, you don’t deserve this,” Thompson wrote. “You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.”
The basketball player previously denied fathering Maralee Nichols’ child. He demanded a DNA test to prove paternity and filed his own lawsuit against Nichols.
Thompson cheated on the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star while she was pregnant with their daughter True in 2018 and again in 2019 with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.
The athlete has a third child, a five-year-old son he shares with ex Jordan Craig.

Khloé Kardashian’s sister, Kim Kardashian West, is showing support for her in the aftermath of Thompson’s statement.
On Jan. 4, the day after Thompson revealed he had fathered another woman’s child while dating Khloe, Kim posted a photo on her Instagram. It’s a black and white picture of Kim with her daughter Chicago and son Saint, standing by Khloe, who holds her daughter True.
They are all flashing peace signs at the camera except for True, who clings tightly to her mother with both hands.
Kardashian West simply captioned the photo with an emoji of the infinity symbol.
It’s worth noting that Thompson clearly admires his partner’s older sister since a birthday tribute to Kardashian West is one of his most recent Instagram posts. His last photo of Khloe is from June 27, 2021.
