Kim Kardashian West’s Biggest Fear in Life Is Not What You’d Expect
Maybe it’s heights, monsters, bodies of water, or just our own shadows, everyone’s afraid of something. In Kim Kardashian West’s case, the list goes on when it comes to her biggest fears.
Over the years, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has shared some of her worst fears with fans. But there’s one thing she considers to be her biggest fear in life, and apparently, it has everything to do with Beyoncé.
Kim Kardashian West has been open about her worst fear
Some might think Kardashian West’s worst fear is getting robbed by Parisian thieves again, or whatever Kanye West might tweet next. Though those might be things she’s afraid of, it turns out they aren’t at the top of her biggest fear list.
In 2018, the reality star experienced her worst nightmare when she came across eight-legged tarantulas in Kourtney Kardashian’s back yard.
At the sight of the furry creatures, Kardashian West shrieked and immediately ran away as quickly as she could (in heels), proving that she has major arachnophobia.
“I feel like there’s a f*cking tarantula in my a**,” she told her sisters. “It’s like a nightmare over here. I gotta get out of here.”
Later that same year, the KUWTK opened up about her fear of arachnids while appearing on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“I am deathly afraid of spiders,” she said. “I will literally cry if I see a spider. My daughter [North West] has been begging me to go to this stupid spider exhibit in town and you walk and there are spiders everywhere. They could just jump on you or land on you.”
But Kardashian West’s fear didn’t end there.
In 2019, the mom of four’s nightmare of being around spiders came true again when she found three crawling around the outside of her Hidden Hills mansion.
“What the actual f*ck,” she captioned a photo of the scene on her Instagram Story. “So there were 3 tarantulas last night,” she added. “It’s mating season apparently.”
Beyoncé helped Kim Kardashian West overcome her biggest fear in life
Though being around spiders is Kim K’s worst nightmare, there’s one thing that terrifies her even more, and it has nothing to do with creepy crawlers.
During a 2016 episode of KUWTK, the reality star revealed that her biggest fear in life was having to dance alongside Beyoncé during Jay-Z and Kanye West’s joint Watch the Throne tour back in 2011.
“My biggest fear was during Watch the Throne that if I sit next to Beyoncé, she dances and she’s up, like, you know,” the reality star said. “So, the last night of the tour, she came to dressing room and was like, ‘Hey, do you want to sit together?'”
Kardashian West went on to recall that terrifying moment when the Queen Bey made her get up and bust a move.
“Then, she wanted to go in the mosh pit and I was like, ‘What do we do in the mosh pit?’ She’s like, ‘Dance! Just let loose. Just dance!’ And I was like, ‘My life is over!'”
Though she was hesitant at first, Kim K stood up to her fear of dancing and walked away a victor. A truly inspiring moment if there ever was one.
