It’s unclear what the Kardashian family thinks of Kylie Jenner’s famous boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet. Some insiders claim Kylie’s friends and family love Chalamet and their low-key relationship. However, other sources claim Chalamet hasn’t made much effort to get to know the Kardashian-Jenner clan. This makes them question his motives.
An insider told Life & Style that Chalamet initially had no interest in appearing on The Kardashians. However, Kylie would love for him to change his mind. “It’s taken a lot of effort on Kylie’s part to get Timothée to a point where he’s even willing to discuss going on camera,” the source claimed. “He’s tentatively committed to doing a couple of segments and seeing where it goes.” The insider added that Kris Jenner would absolutely love to see Chalamet appear.
Unfortunately, not everyone in the Kardashian-Jenner family is happy with the idea. “Especially Kim, and Khloé, and Scott [Disick],” the source alleged. “It’s not going over well.”
The insider noted that the sisters are “annoyed that he’s just waltzing in trying to take a piece of the pie after acting so stuck up and above them all.”

Will Timothée Chalamet appear on The Kardashians at Kylie Jenner’s request? It remains unclear. The star is busy with huge Hollywood films like Dune. It seems out of character for him to step into a reality TV role. Additionally, a source told The Sun that he’s “obsessed with managing his reputation,” which could steer him away from his girlfriend’s family’s show.
“Timothée is very careful with his personal conduct in relationships because one dumb mistake can send everything he’s built down the toilet,” the source explained. “Is he taking a risk by getting so serious with Kylie so quickly? Yes, but Timothée has a strong sense of boundaries and is obsessed with managing his reputation. I don’t think he’s going to pop up on the reality show the way some of the other Kardashian suitors have, and I don’t think Kylie has any expectation that he would. It’s not how he rolls.”
The ‘Dune’ star doesn’t care to get to know Kylie Jenner’s family, says an insider
Timothée Chalamet might be at odds with a few Kardashian-Jenner family members. In July 2024, a source told Life & Style that Chalamet puts in “no effort” to get to know anyone other than Kylie Jenner.
“Timothée is obviously enjoying himself with Kylie, but when it comes to getting to know her family, he’s put in almost no effort and doesn’t seem to want to,” the insider explained, adding that Chalamet’s appearances at family dinners and holidays have been at Kylie’s request. “And the few times he has shown up, he’s spent the majority of his time talking to her and practically ignored the rest of them.”
The insider added that Kylie’s sisters think Chalamet has “red flags” she can’t ignore. “Instead, he’s giving the impression that he thinks the Kardashians are beneath him, which they obviously find so insulting, and they’re telling her it’s clear he’s just using her for a good time,” the source said.
