Kim Porter’s Relative Said ‘Something Wasn’t Right’ With Her When She Dated Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Kim Porter and Sean “Diddy” Combs were together for roughly a decade. They shared three children together and both spoke about the closeness of their friendship. A relative of Porter’s didn’t like the way the relationship seemed to have changed her, though. They said that she didn’t seem like herself when she was with him.

One of Porter’s relatives recalled her as a bright light in their family.
“I remember Kim as a little girl — she was just the sweetest little girl,” the relative told the Daily Mail. “And I remember how she grew up to be so beautiful and talented.”
They said they noticed a change in her when she started dating Combs. This observation has made them believe he is guilty of the crimes he has been accused of.
“But I saw the change in her when we visited her out in California when she was with him,” they continued. “She was changed, something wasn’t right. Now I feel in my spirit he’s guilty, but justice will just have to take its course.”
They found his behavior so suspicious that they said they would like the police to reopen the investigation into Porter’s death. She died of lobar pneumonia in 2018.
“If she was my daughter, I would be demanding that the investigation be re-opened,” they said.
Porter’s father said he does not want to look further into his daughter’s death.

By the time Porter and Combs ended their relationship in 2007, she no longer felt happy with him.
“I’m a Southern girl, and my home life is numero uno,” she told Essence (via People). “I wasn’t waking up feeling happy. There’s no other way for me to articulate it, other than a feeling. I just wasn’t feeling it, that’s why I had to leave.”
She took him back after his infidelity in the past, but she no longer wanted to put up with it.
“It’s not an original script. He’s not the first man who’s cheated. He’s not the first man who’s had a baby outside of his relationship,” she said, adding, “He’s not the originator of this. But at this point in my life — I have girls now — it’s a different program.”

While Porter was still with Combs, she said she could see a side to him that many people didn’t.
“He’s gentle, giving, and sensitive, especially to me,” she told Essence in 2006, before their break up. “He’s really a good guy, with a big, big heart. I get to see that. I’m really thankful I get to see that.”
She admitted that she took him back after infidelity because he proved himself to her.
“I’m not impressed with things — not a bag or shoes or a car — I’ve got a lot of stuff,” she said. “Impress me with your person. Show me you can be a really good man. That’s how to impress me.”
