King Charles’ relationship with his younger son, Prince Harry, has had its share of ups and downs. The two men are still on speaking terms, and when Charles was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, Harry made a trip to the United Kingdom to sit down with his father. But things still aren’t perfect between the two, and now, sources claim Charles is getting Prince Andrew in the middle of it in an attempt to send “a message” to Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle. But in the process, he’s putting Andrew in his place, too.

King Charles reportedly wants Prince Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage

Andrew hasn’t exactly had the best resume when it comes to working royals. Though he was a working royal for years, he no longer holds the role because of his relationship with the late Jeffrey Epstein; at this point, he doesn’t earn a true income in the royal family and is generally disliked by the public due to his connections. However, he still has a good relationship with Charles, and rumor has it Charles wants Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of Harry and Meghan. Harry and Meghan moved into the cottage and did massive renovations back in 2018 only to move out a short time later.

“For King Charles, forcing Andrew to move to Frogmore solves several problems at once — it sends a message to Harry that, as a private citizen and no longer a working royal he will never be allowed back to Frogmore,” royal expert Tom Quinn told Mirror.

But Quinn also said it sends a message to Andrew, who would have to move out of his much more lavish home. “It sends [a] message to Andrew that having disgraced himself, he can no longer expect to live in the grand style.” Andrew currently lives at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, a 30-room mansion, which is much larger than Frogmore Cottage.

King Charles might look to Prince Andrew’s daughters for royal help

Prince Andrew has two daughters: Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Both are highly-regarded within the royal family and among the public, though neither is actually a working royal. But the royal family has been worn quite thin, with Andrew, Harry, and Meghan no longer taking on royal duties, and Kate Middleton on a long-term break while she undergoes cancer treatment.

Eugenie recently accompanied Prince William to the Buckingham Palace Garden Party, and it’s possible that there could be more where that came from. Beatrice and Eugenie have always had a close relationship with both Harry and William, so it wouldn’t surprise anyone if the two women start to take on royal duties. However, they most likely would never become full-time working royals.
