Kody Brown is down to a single wife. Sister Wives fans and Kody’s three estranged partners agree that Robyn Brown and her influence over Kody are primarily to blame for the family’s breakdown. While the Brown family patriarch has spent years trying to suggest his other wives are the reason for the plural family’s demise, he’s managed to do the exact opposite. Even in season 19 of Sister Wives, after all three of his original wives have left him behind, Kody is revealing just how much influence Robyn Brown has over him. In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode, the father of 18 alleges he was going to misbehave, but his “wife with a conscience” wouldn’t let him.

Kody Brown looks worse and worse the more he tries to make Robyn Brown look better. In a sneak peek for an upcoming episode, Kody reveals that he considered “screwing over” Janelle Brown regarding Coyote Pass. Coyote Pass is the property the family purchased in 2018.

He said he gave it serious thought, but his “wife with a conscience” wouldn’t have allowed it. The clip, obtained by Us Weekly, also shows Kody fuming over the notion that his second wife would have “screwed him over” if she could have.

Janelle and Kody have had several conversations about the land the family purchased ahead of their Flagstaff, Arizona move. Janelle, hoping to get the loan paid off and the equity split equally, has encountered several roadblocks. Throughout season 19 of the series, Kody has been entirely uncooperative and secretive about his plans for the property. He claims he won’t speak to her on the topic because he doesn’t trust her.

Kody isn’t proving what he thinks he’s proving

Kody Brown and TLC have spent the last several episodes trying to rehabilitate Robyn Brown’s image. Season 19 has attempted to show her as a caring and concerned family member. Kody is pushing the narrative that she’s always wanted to keep the family together. Still, he isn’t proving what he thinks he is.

By suggesting that Robyn Brown wouldn’t “let him” do something, Kody is reinforcing what Sister Wives fans always assumed. He is proving that Robyn Brown has pulled the strings behind the scenes all along. Christine Brown, Janelle Brown, and even Meri Brown have all suggested that Kody’s fourth wife had inserted herself into his other relationships. They’ve all suggested she caused problems. Kody is proving them right despite trying to do the opposite.
