Kody Brown and Robyn Brown Purchase a New Home in Flagstaff, Arizona
For two years, Sister Wives fans have theorized that Kody Brown and Robyn Brown were in financial ruin after Kody’s other wives left and took their paychecks with them. Apparently, the duo didn’t need Meri Brown and Janelle Brown’s paychecks to be solvent. Kody and Robyn recently upgraded their abode, closing on a multi-million dollar estate in Flagstaff. There is still no word on what is going on with their original Flagstaff property or the acreage the Brown family bought back in 2018.
Kody and Robyn listed their first Flagstaff house in August
Ahead of the purchase of their new home, Kody and Robyn Brown listed their original property for sale. The couple listed their five-bedroom, four-bathroom property in late August for $1.6 million. The house features multiple living spaces, a large open-concept kitchen, and more than 4,000 square feet of living space. According to Realtor, the listing was removed on Oct. 8, but they have not yet sold the property.
When the couple listed the house for sale, Sister Wives fans largely assumed the duo might be downsizing now that their family is much smaller. They also believed the couple would be moving out of the area because of the high cost of living. After all, the Hashknife Trail property should have been more than adequate for the couple’s aging family, so they’d need a good reason if they were moving. Three of their five children are already over 18, so they should need less space, not more. While downsizing or moving to a less expensive area would have been prudent, the duo went in the opposite direction.
Kody and Robyn purchased a massive mansion in Flagstaff
Kody Brown is known for his wanderlust, but it seems like he likes Flagstaff enough to call it home for the foreseeable future. Instead of moving his family out of state again, he and his wife purchased a much larger and more expensive home in the same city.
According to property records, Kody Brown closed on a home worth more than $2 million days ago. Starcasm notes the property offers nearly 8,000 square feet of living space. The property’s living space is stretched across a large main house and luxurious guest cottage. The property also has more than 2 acres of outdoor spaces, an oversized garage, and plenty of outdoor entertainment for the couple’s “tender-aged” children.
As for money problems? Apparently, Kody and Robyn don’t have them, at least not yet. According to Starcasm, the couple took out a massive mortgage on the home. They borrowed $1.68 million to purchase the property. The loan has a payoff date of 2054. The couple will need to come up with more than $10,000 monthly for just their mortgage.
Kody and Robyn have not openly discussed their new purchase. Kody’s former wives haven’t commented on it either, but they all likely have an opinion
