Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were one of the most enduring couples on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. They were together in the very first episode and continued to have an on-and-off relationship for almost ten years. After Kardashian and Disick broke up for good in 2017, they have been trying to co-parent their children.

While Kardashian and Disick’s co-parenting relationship has been praised by many people, it seems that fans now believe that it could mostly just be an act. Read on below to find out why fans think that Kardashian and Disick do not necessarily co-parent in a good way.

Kardashian and Disick welcomed their first child, Mason, in 2009. Being the oldest sibling, Kardashian was the first person in her family to become a parent. Mason’s birth was a rather memorable one as well since Kardashian allowed some parts of the birth to be aired on KUWTK. Fans still remember the famous moment when she pulled him out into the world.

Kardashian and Disick welcomed their second child in 2012. This time, they had a daughter named Penelope. Then, two years later, they welcomed another son named Reign.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick claim to have succeeded at co-parenting

For the past few years, Kardashian and Disick have been co-parenting their three children. Kardashian once shared that seeing her own parents remain on friendly terms with each other after their divorce inspired her to strive for the same relationship with Disick.

For example, Kardashian and Disick try to put their children first and not let other issues get in the way. Disick has been dating Sofia Richie after his breakup with Kardashian, but it does not seem like there is any awkwardness between Richie and Kardashian. In fact, the three of them have gone on trips together with their kids.

“I feel like I can show a message, too, of like, parents can get along and work together and we travel together,” Kourtney shared on the Today show last year. “I think it’s a good message to show other people.”

Meanwhile, Disick himself has admitted that co-parenting did not come easy for them at first. He revealed that he and Kardashian went to therapy, especially after they began seeing other people. However, it seems that these struggles have been worth it, with Disick later commenting: “You can easily live less of a life without working as hard, and that’s up to you.”

Fans now believe that their co-parenting might be ‘just for show’

Although Kardashian and Disick have spoken positively about their co-parenting relationship, some fans now believe that it might not be as healthy after all. The reason for this is because, based on what fans have seen, Kardashian seems to have more say in what their children do than Disick does, which might mean that there is not enough equity in their relationship.

“I feel like Kourt runs everything and allows Scott visiting hours,” one viewer said on Reddit.

However, another person pointed out that whether a relationship is “healthy” or not could be relative, saying:

“I think that their definition of coparenting just basically means that both parents try to be friendly so that their kids aren’t affected by the negativity. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kourtney does all the legwork and she assigns Scott his duties. I do believe that it’s as healthy as it’s going to get for them because there’s still love there.”

At the end of the day, perhaps only Kardashian, Disick, and their children can judge how successful their co-parenting relationship is. Even if their lives are shown on KUWTK, there is still a lot that fans do not know about behind the scenes.
