Though she’s been on Keeping Up with the Kardashians since it premiered in 2007, Kourtney Kardashian has been struggling in the spotlight. In the past few years, things have been tense between the Poosh founder and her sisters, Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West. As Kourtney has tried to build a more private life for herself away from the cameras and even her overly involved family, it’s caused quite a bit of chaos.

During the Season 18 premiere of KUWTK, Kourtney and Kim got into an explosive and violent fight after the KKW Beauty mogul made a jab at her sister for her lack of work ethic. Clearly, this hit a nerve with the mom of three and things got so bad that Kardashian West was bleeding and filming had to be halted for a week.

Later in the season, the sisters visited Armenia where Kourtney revealed that she hated being famous and was fed up with people and cameras following her. It turns out that Kourtney has been exhausted with fame for a decade.

Kourtney Kardashian desperately wants to move away from LA

Kardashian has spent her entire life in LA, except for her college years at the University of Arizona. However, with KUWTK, and the paparazzi constantly swirling, the wellness guru has spoken openly about living her life somewhere else.

In fact, she often takes her children to Utah or spends time on Kanye West’s Wyoming ranch to get away from the spotlight. In the end, the Poosh founder has made it clear that LA isn’t her final stop.

“I always say I want to move away someday and just be away from it all,” she told Paper Magazine. “Sail away. No one will ever see me again. I keep throwing up different places, but then I’ll go there to visit and I’ll be like, ‘Nope, this isn’t it, but glad I came.’ We’ve just been to Finland. And I was like, ‘Check, it’s great for me to visit, but I’m not going to move there.’ Maybe Norway. Switzerland? I’ve got a lot of ideas.”

Kourtney Kardashian wants ‘KUWTK’ to end

Kardashian has openly said that she doesn’t care if KUWTK ends. After all, she’s given nearly 15 years of her life to the show, exposing her entire relationship with Scott Disick to the world and giving birth on air, three times. For her, enough is enough. However, she hasn’t completely walked away yet.

“Now I’m filming, maybe like, two days a week because I don’t want to be in a toxic environment,” she explained during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I just feel so much better giving my focus and attention to my kids and to Poosh and things that I’m excited about.”

Kardashian also wants to protect her kids from the spotlight as much as possible.  “She is happy to be filming less, for both herself and the kids,” an insider told People. “As Kourtney and Scott’s kids get older, Kourtney especially feels that public exposure is not really beneficial for the kids. … She feels more and more protective of [them].”

In a 2011 interview with USA Today, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West opened up about where they say their lives in 10 years. The Skims founder was hoping to be married with four children, which she is. However, Kourtney wanted a life away from the spotlight.

“In ten years I see myself maybe living in the middle of nowhere… [a] kind of deserted island so I never have to talk to anyone ever again except for my son,” she said. It looks like Kardashian is on her way to the life that she wants.
