Recently, some fans took to Reddit to discuss how strange they think it is that Kardashian’s three young children weren’t more involved with the surprise proposal.
Fans on Reddit think that one thing about Travis Barker’s proposal was ‘strange’
On October 17, 2021, Barker and Kardashian got engaged. The couple shared a photo of the proposal to social media, featuring the two of them surrounded by roses that shaped a heart and lots of romantic candles. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kardashian’s three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, were nowhere to be seen.
One fan on Reddit pointed out “I found it odd her kids weren’t part of the proposal in any capacity? but maybe I’ve just seen too many blended family proposals where the point of including the kids is to symbolize a marriage not just of the parents but a union of the families? Idk, seems a little off given how much she’s obsessed with her kids and I could see her wanting them to be included.”
Another one posted “Yes, also their families have been friends! It would have been perfect to have them but maybe he just wanted two of them.”

Kardashian and Barker have spent a lot of time together over the past year, and have taken many trips with all their children. Sources have said that Kardashian’s three kids and Barker’s two children get along very well together and that everyone has bonded well. One source said, “Kourtney has become very close with Travis’ kids recently, especially when it comes to Alabama (Barker’s youngest child.)”
Life & Style Magazine reports that Alabama Barker has been very active on social media, regularly showing her support for the relationship. She has even referenced Kardashian as her “stepmom,” proving that they are indeed quite close. Although Barker’s two children are teenagers, and Kardashian’s children are a bit younger, it’s clear that everyone has naturally blended into a family unit, which makes it that much stranger that Kardashian’s three children were MIA from the proposal.

Kardashian and Barker have five children between them, but some fans have wondered if the two might eventually have a baby together. A source quoted by Us Weekly recently stated: “It’s just a matter of when and how. Ideally, Kourtney would like a natural birth. She’s confident it won’t be a problem because she’s always been lucky to conceive naturally and has taken great care of herself physically. … Certainly though, she and Travis want to bring their own child into the picture.”
While Kardashian hasn’t directly spoken to having a baby with Barker, she’s always been open about her desire to potentially have another child, even admitting that she’s thought about freezing her eggs. Another source recently revealed: “She can’t wait to marry Travis. She would also love to have a baby with him.” It is very possible that a Kardashian-Barker pregnancy might be a featured storyline in the brand-new Kardashian streaming show for Hulu.
