Kristin Cavallari Is ‘Very Excited’ to Appear on Season 2 of ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’
Kristin Cavallari is going back to The Hills.
Well, MTV’s reboot of the reality series, The Hills: New Beginnings. In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight on March 5, 2020, at the launch party for the 33-year-old’s latest offerings from her accessories brand Uncommon James, Cavallari revealed she’d be making a cameo on Season 2 of the show.
“Yeah, I’m going to make an appearance on The Hills,” Cavallari said. But the rest is still unwritten because the mother of three couldn’t say much. “I don’t know what I can and can’t say. Clearly, I just say always so much, but people expect that from me.”
She continued, saying she’s excited about revisiting the show that ended in 2010 after six seasons. “I’m excited! I’m actually very excited,” she said. “I think it’s going to be fun to go back and see the old gang and, yeah, I’m looking forward to it.”
She hasn’t started filming ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ yet
When Cavallari revealed to Entertainment Tonight she’d be making an appearance in Season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings, she said while filming on new episodes had already started she hasn’t personally been in any scenes yet.
“They just started filming. I don’t know when I will start filming or what’s happening yet, but I will be,” Cavallari said.
Clearly, details surrounding Cavallari’s cameo are still being worked out behind-the-scenes. Other than the fact she’s appearing in Season 2 there’s not much else even Cavallari knows about it. Although she does know whether or not a certain someone will make their own appearance.
Will Jay Cutler make an appearance on ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’?
Cavallari’s husband of seven years, Jay Cutler, won’t be showing up in upcoming episodes of The Hills: New Beginnings. The former NFL player stars with Cavallari in her own reality series on E!, Very Cavallari, currently in its third season.
When asked whether or not her husband would show up on The Hills: New Beginnings, Cavallari said Cutler wouldn’t because getting him to be involved with her own show took a lot of convincing.
“He would never. He wouldn’t do it,” Cavallari said. “I can barely get him to do Very Cavallari…. He’s the best. I think secretly he has fun doing it. He would never admit it. I can tell. He’s really good at it. He’s coming into his own.”
Very Cavallari focuses mostly on Uncommon James but also features a look at the couple’s home life in Nashville, Tenn., with their kids who aren’t on the show.
‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ premiered in June 2019
The Hills: New Beginnings debuted in the summer of 2019 and saw the return of many familiar faces. Stephanie Pratt, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, Jason Wahler, Frankie Delgado, and Justin Bobby Brescia were among the original cast members from The Hills who appeared in Season 1 of the reboot.
Joining the alums were newcomers Brandon Thomas Lee and The O.C.’s Mischa Barton, who may or may not be returning for Season 2. Lauren Conrad, who rose to fame as “LC” on MTV’s Laguna Beach, didn’t sign on for The Hills: New Beginnings nor did Lauren “Lo” Bosworth.
Audiences responded so well to Season 1 of the reboot that MTV renewed The Hills: New Beginnings for a second season before the first had even finished airing. From there the cast members negotiated their contracts for Season 2 with Jenner reportedly inking a $50,000-per-episode deal, sources told TMZ. Meanwhile, Stephanie is said to be leaving the reboot after Season 1.
Stay tuned for a premiere date to be announced for Season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings.
