‘KUWTK’ Fans Find Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s Scenes In This Season ‘Uncomfortable’
Now that Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been on TV for 20 seasons, and over 270 episodes, fans have spent many hours getting to know the Kardashian and Jenner families. Most people at least know who the Kardashians are, and many more enjoy learning about how the family spends their time and interacts with one another.
One Kardashian sibling, Khloé, had dated Tristan Thompson for a couple of years, broken up, and are now back together, but fans have taken to Reddit to discuss the latest season’s cringeworthy scenes between the two. Who is Tristan Thompson?
Tristan Thompson is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Boston Celtics. He was born in Canada, but came to the United States to attend prep school before attending the University of Texas at Austin to play basketball. Thompson played for the Longhorns for one season in 2010-2011, and he had originally planned to continue playing at the University of Texas before later changing his mind declaring for the NBA Draft in 2011.
Thompson was first drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, and played for them for nine seasons before being traded to the Boston Celtics in 2020.
According to SBNation, Thompson is known for switching his shooting hand from left to right in the 2012-2013, and then back to his left hand in the 2013-2014 season. The Cavaliers won the NBA championship for the 2015-2016 season with Thompson, and there is no doubt that he is hoping to win another championship with the Celtics.
Thompson has two children, and he and Khloé Kardashian began dating in 2016.

According to Screen Rant, Kardashian and Thompson were first spotted together in August 2016, and rumors about a relationship between the two began to fly. Their relationship wasn’t confirmed until Kardashian admitted in an interview that she and Thompson were dating.
Thompson made his debut on KUWTK in early 2017, and fans and the Kardashian family both seemed to approve of their relationship. It was clear that Kardashian was intent on creating a family with Thompson, and she announced later that year that she was pregnant. Unfortunately, their relationship wasn’t without its downfalls. When Kardashian was about nine months pregnant with Thompson, it was discovered that Thompson was seen kissing other women at a nightclub.
Kardashian gave birth to their daughter in April 2018, and named her True Thompson. The couple attempted to stay together to raise True, but Thompson was caught cheating again, this time with Kylie Jenner’s best friend, Jordyn Woods. The couple made a clean break this time.
Despite not being together romantically, Thompson and Kardashian attempted to co-parent their daughter, and eventually moved in together at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to make that easier. They announced later that year that they were back together.
Some ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ fans feel uncomfortable with their relationship
Although Kardashian and Thompson are now back together, fans aren’t necessarily happy about his presence on the show. One Reddit user commented,”The Khloé and Tristan thing feels so forced. It’s uncomfortable to watch. When they are in the confessional I cringe.”
Another replied to that comment saying, “Idk if they realize that all the fans of the show care about and are protective of the girls,” continuing on to say that it was hard for fans to watch Kardashian get cheated on multiple times but still reconcile with Thompson.
It’s understandable that fans would feel attached and protective of the Kardashians they have spent all these hours watching, and it will certainly be interesting to see where their relationship goes moving forward.
