Fans and viewers had no idea what they were in store for when episode 4 of season 18 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians first aired. The title of the episode was a subtle nod to Kylie’s LASIK procedure which later, somehow, led to Kylie throwing a taco and eyeball themed party. Fans couldn’t get enough of Kylie and her fun energy despite the stress of undergoing a scary medical procedure. However, fans can probably agree that the title was just referencing Kylie’s medical state. The infamous phrase “in the blink of an eye” alludes to the everyday realities the cast and the audience can relate to when it comes to time. Sometimes, for better or sometimes for worse, everything can change in what seems like a short blink of an eye.
In regard to Khloé Kardashian and her storyline fans are blown away and appalled at how quickly the narrative appears to be changing. This episode showcased the struggles and dilemmas Khloé faces when it comes to co-parenting with her ex Thompson. It was clear that Khloé was facing an internal struggle in deciding what to do with their daughter True in regard to her traveling to Cleveland to be with her father. Khloé goes as far to suggest perhaps she should go with her daughter to Cleveland and act as a chaperone. Why are fans so upset over the possibility of Khloé Kardashian using Tristan Thompson’s sperm for another baby?
A recent Reddit thread explained why so many fans couldn’t believe their eyes or ears after watching “In the Blink of an Eye.” It was one thing for Khloé to suggest going to Cleveland to monitor things between True and Thompson, but when Khloé began talking about the possibility of using Thompson’s sperm for another baby struck an odd chord with fans and viewers. Some people are speculating this might be Khloé’s way of covering up the fact that she may already be with Thompson and is trying to avoid the consequences of a bad decision. One user explained, “She’s lying. They are still together and she’s lying that they’re not so she doesn’t get the public backlash and look like the damn fool that she is. She’s going to spend time with him in Cleveland and pretending it’s to chaperone True. They are still together – they are not fooling anybody -Or maybe they are but it’s obvious that they are still together.” It is a very interesting and plausible theory amongst fans. Why do fans want Tristan Thompson gone so badly?
When Thompson and Khloé got on the topic of having another baby viewers and fans were shook when the pair both agreed that True could use a sibling. So many people were appalled that neither one of them mentioned Prince, True’s half-sibling. It seemed like Thompson completely forgot about Prince, and that did not sit well with many fans at home. One user perfectly said what many of the fans were probably thinking. The comment read, “anyone else audibly gasp or cringe at Tristan saying ‘well true could use a sibling’ knowing full well she HAS A BROTHER!!! and Khloe completely going with this notion that true has no siblings. I understand he is a half brother but that is a sibling!” It was hard to watch or believe. Many people expressed their sympathy for Prince and his perspective, but that wasn’t all. Fans made it abundantly clear that they want Tristan off the show, and they want him off now. One upset user shared “he’s so irritating like can he get off the show?” Despite the recent events, many fans and viewers are hopeful that they will be to seeing less of Thompson moving forward.
