‘KUWTK’: Did Kim Kardashian West Discover Who Is Behind the Instagram Parody Account ‘Nori’s Black Book’?
Kim Kardashian West and her family have become really good about driving the narrative about their lives. Using their reality series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, to their Instagram accounts, they only like to showcase what they want the public to see
However, the Instagram parody account, Nori’s Black Book, has remained beyond their reach. Has Kardashian West finally figured out who’s behind the account in the final season of KUWTK?
What is Nori’s Black Book?
Nori’s Black Book is a parody Instagram account told from the perspective of Kardashian West and Kanye West’s eldest child, North West. It chronicles the ups and downs of the iconic reality family from North’s perspective, with witty and biting takedowns of her young siblings, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm (whom she calls Sam) as well as her parents, grandmother, Kris Jenner, aunts, and uncle.
The account’s creator is still anonymous to the general public. Still, they said they drew inspiration from Kardashian, West, and from the Tumblr account Suri’s Burn Book, which was told through the perspective of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter.
“It started off as an exaggerated version of Kim and Kanye’s personalities,” the creator explained to TooFab. “If you watch “Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim is very rude to her family. And Kanye has a huge ego, so I put that into North’s voice. I wanted to make sure she had this huge ego and was rude to her family. North also has these facial expressions. It kind of just writes itself.”’
The Kardashian-Jenners comment on Nori’s Black Book
As snarky as Nori’s Black Book is, the Kardashian-Jenner family is here for it. Fans of the account will often see the reality family liking and commenting on various posts.
It also proves that the reality stars don’t take themselves quite as seriously as we may have thought in the past, and they are aware enough to know that the way they live their lives could be seen as absurd by the general public.
Still, that hasn’t stopped the Kardashian-Jenner from trying to uncover the identity behind the Nori’s Black Book creator.
Does Kim Kardashian West know who created Nori’s Black book?
In an upcoming episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian West and Khloé Kardashian trying to uncover who is behind the account which currently has 780,000 followers. In a clip from the episode, the Skims founder and her Good American founder sister, question a few friends about the parody account.
“Are you Nori’s Black Book?” Khloé asks celebrity hairstylist and family friend Jen Atkin via Facetime. Atkin retorts, “Oh, my God! I f—— wish I was Nori’s Black Book. My captions aren’t that good.” Atkin then suggests that the real culprit might be Kardashian West’s former assistant, Stephanie Shepherd.
The mother of four FaceTime’s Shepherd to ask to which she replies, “Oh my God. I wish I was f—— Nori’s Black Book. It’s someone random. I don’t think any of your guys’ friends are that funny. No offense.”
It looks like the mystery of Noris’ Black Book will remain unsolved for now.
