‘KUWTK’: Kim Kardashian West Tries Improv Comedy With Scott Disick and It’s So Uncomfortable
Improv comedy isn’t for everyone — and it’s definitely not for Kim Kardashian West, though fans are giving her credit for even trying. In a new Keeping Up With the Kardashians clip, Kardashian West tagged along with Scott Disick to an improv class and, while she seemed initially game, she quickly decided to quit. No worries though — Disick had a pretty good handle on performing and Kardashian was happy to cheer him on.
Kardashian West and Disick take an improv class
In a new Keeping Up With the Kardashians clip, the reality star goes with Disick to Los Angeles’ The Groundlings for an improv class. Right from the start, it’s obvious that Kardashian West is having some second thoughts about things as they stand outside the theater and wait. Kardashian West says, “This is not my thing.”
Then they walk into the class where they’re welcomed to the group. Kardashian West decides to clue the group into how she’s pretty shy, noting, “So let me just start by saying I’m very shy. This is… We’re here for Scott.”
The group is welcoming and starts with a warmup, which the instructor explains, “We’re going to do some silly, dumb warm-ups. We make it up on the spot.” Kardashian West says, “Oh really? I didn’t know that” and the teacher asks, “Um, are you being sarcastic?”
The teacher then explains how “if you’re public speaking or whatever, doing improv will help you be prepared for that.”
Kardashian West bailed fast
The class then passes a noise and facial expression around the circle but when it gets to Kardashian West she seems very uncomfortable, and when it comes around again — well, she’s out. “I’ll sit and support now,” she tells the instructor as she leaves the circle. She does say, “Maybe I’ll warm up and come back in.”
Disick is brought up to try his hand at an improv exercise called ‘Expert Panel,’ where he has to make up the history of the first shoe, playing off an improv scene partner to build their story as they go.
Disick seems comfortable and game for playing along, even getting a little innuendo in the mix and getting some big laughs from the crowd. “That was like dripping out of you like water,” his partner said when they finished.
Kardashian wishes she was more confident
While improv might not have been in her wheelhouse, fans find it interesting that Kardashian said she’s shy. With her high visibility, it’s hard to imagine the reality star feels that way, but in a recent interview she shared the advice she’d give her younger self: have more confidence.
“I wish I was more confident starting at a younger age. I really gained a lot of confidence when I met Kanye,” she shared during a Feb. 11 interview on Laura Wasser’s All’s Fair podcast. “He really pushed that with me and helped me gain confidence and I wish that I knew that sooner.”
