‘KUWTK’: Kris Jenner’s Control Issues Are More Obvious Than You Thought

Her daughters are rich, famous, and busy. Kris has a hand in all of it. Her children owe her a lot, but fans know there’s more to it than that.
In exchange for her prestigious management skills, Kris’ children, and her daughters especially, have to put up with a lot of nasty behavior from their mother. In a recent Reddit thread, fans rehashed some of Kris’ more obvious moments of control seeking.
Kris Jenner is reportedly a narcissist
Before diving into the examples of her narcissistic behavior fans have noticed throughout the years, it’s important to know that Kris is, according to HuffPost, a diagnosed narcissist, at least according to a psychologist who examined her during her divorce from her first husband, Robert Kardashian Sr.
Robert Sr. was concerned for his children during his split from Kris, who cheated on him repeatedly before he finally pulled the plug on their struggling marriage. After his death, his widow released documents that alleged Kris abused her children, and included a six-page psychiatric report. The explosive evaluation asserted Kris is a “manipulative,” “demanding,” and “narcissistic.”
Kris has denied many of the allegations in Robert Sr.’s documents, but her children have admitted that they resent her for how she acted while they were growing up.
Kris certainly wasn’t always the best mother, and she regrets that. But those wounds are hard to heal. Especially considering that Kris is still manipulating her children, and fans have noticed.
Fans think Kris Jenner wants control
It’s natural that a manager would be a little bit of a control freak. But Kris takes things to a different level. Fans pointed out one incident with Kris’ daughter Kendall. In an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kris didn’t want Kendall to move out of the house when she was 18.
While some fans said that Kris’ resistance to Kendall leaving was a normal motherly response to a baby leaving the nest, others disagreed. At the time, Kim, Kanye, and North were all living in Kris’ house, so it wasn’t like she was facing empty nest syndrome.
Other fans wondered why she let Kylie get lip fillers at the age of 16, but Kendall couldn’t move out at 18. In fact, Kylie also began dating rapper Tyga when she was just 17. The two met when Tyga, who happens to live close to the Jenner compound, performed at Kendall’s birthday party in 2011. Kylie was 14 at the time, and fans have wondered in the past how Kris could have let her teenage daughters hang out with a 22-year-old.
Fans think that Kris was only upset about Kendall moving out because of her control issues, especially considering how much she let her under-aged daughters get away with.
Kris Jenner did not react well to her divorce from Caitlyn Jenner
There’s another possible reason why Kris didn’t want Kendall moving. Some fans pointed out that Kendall was going to be living closer to Caitlyn, who had recently separated from Kris. Fans think that Kris didn’t want Kendall to ‘choose’ her father.
Kris didn’t handle the split from Caitlyn well, and fans think her reaction to her second divorce was a good example of what not to do during a separation.
Kris demanded that her children take sides, and that they pick her. She basically threw a tantrum while being filmed for Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It was so bad that fans were surprised she even let E! air the footage.
