‘KUWTK’: People Are Calling Kim Kardashian West a Hypocrite for the Way She Treats Rob Kardashian
Being the only brother with three older sisters can be tough. Throw in your parents separating and then your mom remarrying and having two more daughters. Plus, add television cameras capturing your life as you are entering adulthood. These are all issues Rob Kardashian has had to deal with. Now 33 years old, he is still being picked on by at least one of his sisters.
Fans defend Rob Kardashian against Kim Kardashian West
Kim Kardashian West is nearly seven years older than her brother. And some Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans say she is too hard on Rob.
“It’s no secret that Rob and Kim have a lot of resentment and tension with each other, but to me it seems like Kim handles it completely wrong,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “Like she’ll pick on him and make these digs and call him a loser and say he should get a job, and then Rob lashes out and calls her selfish and then Kim will be like ‘SEE! You have issues!'”
Another fan echoed these sentiments. “I think it’s pretty rich that she goes on about how awful Kourtney is to her but then you can see how badly she treats Rob and how badly she used to treat Khloé,” they said. “A scene that stands out to me is when they did the group therapy (don’t remember when but I think Kourtney was pregnant with Penelope?) and poor Rob was bawling but Kim didn’t seem to care at all. Kourtney started crying when she saw Rob crying, which kinda stood in contrast for me.”
Is Kim Kardashian West just a bully older sister?
Perhaps Kim is still unhappy that her brother couldn’t bring himself to attend her wedding to Kayne West. Rob later explained his reasoning. “I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding and I just wasn’t comfortable,” he said in an interview with People. He wasn’t happy about his weight, which had reached 300 pounds.
Kim also has a tendency to spar with her younger sister Khloé. Khloé, 36, falls in between Kim and Rob on the sibling list.
“Earlier on Kim was pretty awful to Rob and Khloé (less aggressively to Khloé),” the Reddit user commented. “I’m not sure why though, but I think it’s pretty rich that she goes on about how awful Kourtney is to her but then you can see how badly she treats Rob and how badly she used to treat Khloé.” Kourtney is the oldest, being just a year and a half older than Kim.
On an earlier Reddit thread, yet another fan wrote: “I was just wondering if anybody else thought Kim brings out the worst in Khloé? Like negative and mean and talking behind people’s backs on the show.” Many others agreed.
Where does ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ go from here?
In 2021, Keeping Up With the Kardashians is calling it quits. According to Vanity Fair, Kim said the family made “the difficult decision” together for the reality show on E! to come to an end.
While no one in the family is has a low net worth, Kris Jenner and her kids might miss their income from the show. Kris and her daughters each earned around $4.5 million per season, according to StyleCaster. Rob, until 2018 when he took a pay cut, was earning a guaranteed $1 million per season, according to Screen Rant. Following his diminished salary agreement, Rob has earned $50,000 per each episode in which he appeared.
