‘KUWTK’: 4 of the Best Photos From the Show’s Season 1 Viewing Party
Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK) has become a reality TV mainstay since it first aired. The show not only catapulted the Kardashian-Jenner family to fame on their way to building a media empire but it led to multiple spinoffs. Ahead, we’re taking a look back at the early days of the show, only days after the pilot episode premiered.
‘KUWTK’ premiered in Oct. 2007
Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 1 Episode 1: “I’m Watching You” premiered on Oct. 14, 2007. The first line came from Kim Kardashian West, then known as Kim Kardashian, when she said, “I hate you all,” according to E!.
The episode followed the family as they organized an anniversary party for Kris and Caitlyn Jenner, who had then been known as Bruce Jenner. Meanwhile, Kim appeared on the Tyra Banks Show and her sister, Kourtney Kardashian, dealt with relationship drama.
They went to a viewing party for the pilot episode
On Oct. 16, 2007, two days after the pilot episode first debuted on E!, the Kardashian-Jenner family attended a viewing party to kick off the show. Kris, Caitlyn, Kourtney, Kim, and the rest of the family including Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian showed up to the event.
The only person not there had been Rob Kardashian but don’t worry he showed up to an event in honor of the show’s premiere just days earlier. The family posed for photos at the event and it’s clear to see how much everyone has grown since the show first started 13 years ago.
On the guest list at the viewing party had been Ryan Seacrest. The radio personality and TV host worked as an executive producer on the series and remains one today.

Long before the infamous KUWTK episode where Kim lost a diamond earring worth $75,000 in the ocean — Kylie found it in “literally two minutes” — or the Season 18 premiere where an argument got physical, sisters Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney blew kisses at the camera probably not having any idea what the reality series would one day become.
Now the three have experienced major life events in front of KUWTK cameras; marriages, divorces, starting families, career changes, etc.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner grew up on the show
Longtime viewers of KUWTK will have seen Kendall and Kylie Jenner, the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner siblings, grow up before their eyes on the show. Below, see just how young the now-model and beauty mogul were when KUWTK premiered.
They showed up to the viewing party in Oct. 2007 at the ages of 11 and 10. Kendall and Kylie, now 24 and 22, have spent the majority of their lives being on KUWTK.
