One of the reasons interest in Keeping Up with the Kardashians stays high is that the Kar/Jenners have a history of relationship drama, and Khloé Kardashian is no exception. Kardashian went through a very public breakthrough with her boyfriend Tristan Thompson in 2019, and he wasn’t the only one who betrayed her. One of the women he was linked with was Jordyn Woods, a family friend, and BFF of Kardashian’s little sister, Kylie Jenner. 

During the scandal, some people felt that Kardashian treated Woods worse than she should have. Now that she and Thompson have reunited, more people are asking why she couldn’t give Woods a little more grace. But not everyone agrees. Some people think Kardashian’s reaction was completely understandable.

What happened with Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson?

Insider reports that when news of a cheating scandal involving Thompson surfaced in February 2019, it wasn’t the first time he’d been accused of straying. But this time around, there was an extra layer of betrayal. Thompson had been rumored to be unfaithful from the beginning of the relationship.

He was even spotted with another woman just days before True, his daughter with Kardashian, was born. But the cheating that hit the news in early 2019 was with Jordyn Woods, Jenner’s long-time best friend. Although Woods insisted that all they had shared was a kiss, it was the final straw for Kardashian and Thompson’s relationship. The couple broke up, and he wasn’t the only one who was immediately kicked out of the Kar/Jenner inner circle.  

Some feel that Khloe Kardashian was too hard on Jordyn Woods

It’s normal for someone’s loved ones to be protective when their heart has been broken. But some people felt that Kardashian and her sisters took their reactions a little too far when it came to Woods. According to The Cut, Woods was ignored by Jenner, and the family used their show and social media platform to call out Woods and make unkind remarks about her. Of course, Kardashian was the angriest of the bunch.

When Woods publicly spoke about her part in the affair, Kardashian took to Twitter to say, “Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!”

Now Kardashian and Thompson have reunited. People who were uncomfortable with the anger that was directed at her are saying that it was even less justified, considering how things worked out. But not everyone sees it that way.

Recently on Reddit, a fan started a conversation by saying they didn’t judge Kardashian for her treatment of Woods. They pointed out, “this must’ve just been a sad situation for Khloé to navigate. I don’t blame the family for cutting her out nor do I blame them for welcoming Tristan and not Jordyn. Tristan will always have a tie to the family, Jordyn does not.” The original poster acknowledged that it had an impact on Woods, but felt that the situation was emotionally overwhelming for Kardashian.

“Khloé went wacko on twitter and because they’re so public, it had an effect on Jordyn. But imagine if they weren’t famous. Khloé acted like any distraught person would and didn’t think rationally. I don’t think I can blame her for that nor is it a good reason to convey that she’s a bad person.” While many commentators still felt that Kardashian and her sisters were too harsh, others agreed. “You’ve made a really good point,” one said, “obviously it doesn’t excuse the treatment Jordan got from the public, but everyone forgets how much distress Khloé was in.”

“Completely agree,” another added. “Khloé’s love for Tristan was impossible to erase just instantaneously. It was emotionally easier to call out Jordyn and ban her from their lives. It’s impossible to react rational in such an emotional situation.” Because so much of the Kar/Jenners’ lives unfold on TV, it can be easy to forget that they’re really going through these dramas. While their reactions may not always be pretty, some fans think people should remember that life is like that sometimes — even for the famous.
