The recent announcement that Keeping Up With The Kardashians will end next year signaled the end of an era. As fans adjust to the idea of a future without their favorite famous-for-being-famous stars, they’re looking back over the years.

As they reminisce, for some fans one question has come up: Why didn’t Kendall and Kylie ever get their own show?

When the Kar-Jenners shutter their famous reality show next year, it will be the end of an era. KUWTK has launched a thousand dramas, dozens of businesses, and 11 spinoff shows. Although none of the offshoots have lasted very long, viewers still seem fascinated by the idea.

In fact, the interest level is so high that Ryan Seacrest, who is an executive producer of KUWTK, addressed rumors about it. Speaking to ET, Seacrest was careful not to rule the idea out. “I don’t know the answer to that. We have not crossed that bridge yet,” he explained. “I do know that the family is so grateful for having the opportunity at E! and having people ride along with them through relationships, and pregnancies, and separations, and breakups.”

While that statement doesn’t give much information about what will happen next, it does leave the door open. And that has fans wondering why Kylie and Kendall never got their own show, and should they do that now?

Is it time for the Jenner sisters’ show?

Fans took to Reddit to discuss what might be next for all the members of this famous family after the show ends, and one person brought up the idea of a show just for Kendall and Kylie.

“I always wondered why they didn’t do a Kendall and Kylie spinoff. Would’ve been interesting seeing the similarities and differences in their careers/lifestyles and it would’ve probably made for a good show.”

Another agreed, but they suggested it should be mainly about Kylie, since Kendall is so busy. “Kylie can have drama because she’s young and currently interesting. Kendall can disappear and reappear at will.”

Others weren’t so sure that Kendall is the right person for a show that focuses on her so much. “I think it would be hard to make Kendall more TV friendly than Kylie,” one pointed out. “Kendall just vibes differently than the others.”

Another felt that Kendall simply doesn’t have the time for it, saying, “Kendall takes her modeling job very seriously that’s why she isn’t interest in being on Tv.”

Do they even want to be on TV anymore?

It seems that the Jenner sisters are ready to leave the small screen behind for good, and they may have felt like they were done with KUWTK already. There were rumors going around that they were planning to leave the show at the beginning of the year.

It does seem that they are busy enough without their own show. As Harpers Bazaar reported, Kylie is very busy with her makeup business, Kylie Cosmetics. At the same time, Kendall has her own busy career as a top fashion model.

On the Reddit thread, fans thought that the sisters simply don’t need more reality TV in their lives. “I don’t think Kylie or Kendall have any interest whatsoever in being filmed for any show.”

Whatever the reasons, it looks like Kendall and Kylie are ready to leave television stardom behind. But although they won’t be seen on KUWTK anymore after it ends next year, their successful, high-profile jobs will certainly keep them in the public eye. And whatever comes next for them, their fans will be excited to see what they do next.
