Kylie Jenner will become a mother for the second time. The beauty mogul and Stormi Webster’s mom announced in September 2020 that she’s pregnant. After several weeks of speculations, Jenner shared an Instagram video revealing the big news to her boyfriend, Travis Scott, and Kris Jenner. 

The former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s other parent, Caitlyn Jenner, was noticeably left out of her pregnancy announcement video. Jenner’s post came after Caitlyn said she’s expecting another grandchild on a live stream.

Kylie Jenner was reportedly ‘fuming’ when Caitlyn Jenner hinted at her pregnancy

Throughout the years, Kylie and Caitlyn shared a close father-daughter relationship. When the former Olympian came out as transgender in 2015, her youngest child had nothing but support. Despite her divorce from Kris Jenner, the I Am Cait alum remained in Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s lives as they entered adulthood. 

In September 2020, Caitlyn spoke about her big, famous family at The Toy Store in California. During the discussion, she shared that she wants “30 grandchildren” from her kids. She then added she has “another one in the oven,” which will leave her with 19 grandkids. 

Shortly after Caitlyn’s August 2021 interview, many fans suspected she referred to Kylie’s pregnancy rumors. Several weeks later, the Kylie Cosmetics CEO confirmed the news with a video of her flaunting her pregnancy bump. Although she glowed in the post, The Mirror reported that she’s not happy about Caitlyn’s interview. 

“She wanted to wait until after the baby was born to tell the world,” a source said. “She’s been shooting a video for her YouTube channel and was planning to share it when she felt the time was right.”

Although Caitlyn’s comments allegedly made Kylie upset, they reportedly weren’t directed to the Kylie Swim CEO. According to a source, Cait’s son, Burt Jenner, also expects another child with his wife, Valerie Patalo. 

While Caitlyn neglected to say which of her children would welcome a new baby, the reality star made a similar comment in 2019. During an appearance on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! She said she has 20 grandchildren. At the time, Caitlyn only had 16 grandkids on record, and many fans thought she revealed Kylie was pregnant again. 

“20 in December…they call me Boom Boom,” she said when asked about her grandchildren.

Kylie and Kendall Jenner were the youngest members of the Kardashian-Jenner family. On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, fans watched them grow up and form their careers. They also saw Caitlyn taking care of the girls while Kris performed her momager duties.

As her daughters grew older, the E! alum said both Kendall and Kylie led separate lives. However, Caitlyn admitted that she and the mom-to-be have a closer relationship. She said that although she and Kendall have the same “attitude toward life,”  Kylie makes more effort to connect. 

“Kendall’s off kind of doing her thing,” Caitlyn said on Him and Her podcast. “I had dinner last night at Kylie’s house. We try to do that once a week, once every two weeks. I go over there, and she always has these great meals prepared. She doesn’t do them, but they’re so good.”

We’re sure Kylie laughs off her parents’ public comments like the rest of us.
