Kylie Jenner Knew Her Son’s Name Would Have to Change ‘the Second I Signed the Birth Certificate’
In February, Kylie Jenner gave birth to her and Travis Scott’s second child, a son they named Wolf. However, over a month later, Jenner announced that her baby would no longer be called that name.
Although fans were taken aback, Jenner recently shared that she had already felt iffy about “Wolf” right as she signed the birth certificate.

On March 21, Jenner took to Instagram to tell the world that her son would be having a new name.
“FYI our son’s name isn’t Wolf anymore,” she wrote on Instagram Stories. “We just really didn’t feel like it was him. Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”
Jenner’s son was also given the middle name Jacques, and Jenner has not revealed whether this name would be changed as well.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Jenner opened up more about her decision to change her newborn’s name. The makeup mogul revealed that she felt rushed to name him something, though she quickly had a feeling the name would eventually change.
“We had to quickly sign the birth certificate, and then I knew the second I signed the birth certificate that I was probably gonna change his name (laughter),” she said. “It just didn’t suit him.”
She added, “We haven’t legally changed his name yet. We’re in the process, so it just wouldn’t feel right to share anything when we don’t have an official name.”
Other Kardashian-Jenners have also talked about changing their kids’ names
The Kardashian-Jenners seem to take naming very seriously. After all, they have given their children some very unique names, such as North, Dream, and Stormi.
In 2019, Kourtney Kardashian revealed her son Reign did not have this name until after she and Reign’s father, Scott Disick, tried out various names for him.
“I would try out a different name on different days,” she said on Jimmy Kimmel Live before adding, “I was like, I know in my soul his name is Reign and Scott didn’t believe me. And I was like, no, I know his name is Reign. And he’s like his name is Preston. So I was like, fine, let’s call him Preston for a day. And it didn’t work out.”
Kim Kardashian also recently shared that she had trouble naming her four kids before they were born.
“I personally—when I had my kids, I didn’t name them until they were born. You really want to see what they look like,” she explained recently on Live with Kelly and Ryan.
She added, “When I would hear people do that, I would say, “How do you not be prepared for that? You have nine months to think about this.’ But no matter what it’s just the hardest decision ever. So I feel for them.”
