Kylie Jenner’s life has changed a lot since she was a little kid. The Kylie Cosmetics founder was once an afterthought on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but since the show premiered in 2007, she’s surpassed everyone in the family in wealth. However, Jenner recently recalled that before all the fame and fortune, she was really good at one thing.
Kylie Jenner has become the most popular member of her family
When KUWTK first premiered, Jenner was only nine years old. But fast forward nearly 13 years, and she has become the most popular member of her family. Jenner recently passed her sister, Kim Kardashian West, in Instagram followers, which is no easy feat — Kardashian West is one of the most-followed women in the world.
In 2015, Jenner launched her Kylie Lip Kits, and her success mounted from there. She eventually turned the brand into Kylie Cosmetics, and since then, she’s become the world’s youngest self-made billionaire.
Jenner and her sister, Kendall Jenner, lived a relatively normal childhood
Despite having insanely famous older sisters, Jenner and her sister, Kendall Jenner (who is about two years older than her) lived fairly normal childhoods. The two girls went to school, had a close group of friends, and had hobbies outside of filming the family’s reality show.
The two sisters decided that they wouldn’t attend college and would instead focus on their careers. Though they never received the full young adult experience of going to college, they both grew up very quickly.
Jenner once said she was ‘really good’ at sports as a kid
Jenner is the youngest member of her family, and she had plenty of hobbies as a child before she discovered her love for makeup. But being raised in the Kardashian family, it’s no surprise that she eventually found a love for cosmetics.
Jenner and Kim Kardashian West recently took some time to answer fans’ questions while Jenner did her older sister’s makeup. And during the Q&A, Jenner revealed that she actually used to be very good at sports. “I think that people don’t know that I’m really good at sports,” Jenner said. “I was on the boys’ football team. Only flag, until they started tackling everybody, and then I was like, ‘I’m out of here.’” Jenner then said she loved track and set the record for her school in the high jump.
Today, Jenner focuses all of her attention on her brands
Though Jenner might have loved playing sports as a child, she doesn’t seem to play many sports now that she’s grown up. Jenner seems entirely focused on her brands, Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin. Her mother, Kris Jenner, also said that Jenner sees herself with Kylie Cosmetics years down the road, and explained that that’s part of the reason why Jenner doesn’t film as much for the family’s reality show anymore.
Jenner is also a mother to her nearly two-year-old daughter, Stormi, whom she shares with Travis Scott — and she certainly has her hands full being a mom, too.
