Lacey Chabert Receives Messages of Support From Fellow Hallmark Stars Following Her Sister’s ‘Shocking’ Death
Lacey Chabert has experienced a devastating loss. The Mean Girls actor’s older sister Wendy has died.
Chabert shared the heartbreaking news with her social media followers on Nov. 23, writing that she is “shattered” by her sibling’s death.

Chabert mourned her “beautiful sister, Wendy” in an Instagram post.
“Our hearts are shattered into a million pieces that I don’t know how we will ever put back together again now that you’re gone,” she wrote. “We love and adore you more than we can ever say and we will continue to forever and ever and ever.”
The Hallmark Channel star did not share specific details about her sister’s death, but said it was “shocking” and had left her and her family “broken-hearted.”
“Our lives will never be the same without my dear sister, but we cling to the promises of Jesus that we will be together again in eternity,” she added. “Please keep our family, especially her two boys, in your hearts and prayers. Thank you so much.”
Candace Cameron Bure, other Hallmark Channel stars offer their condolences
After opening up about her loss, the Party of Five alum received condolences from a number of other Hallmark Channel stars.
“Lacey, we are praying for you, your family, and Wendy’s family,” Candace Cameron Bure wrote. “We love you, always here for you my sweet sweet friend.”
“Oh my goodness, Lacey. I love you so much and am sending prayers and love to you,” Danica McKellar wrote. “I don’t know what I could possibly do but please call on me if I can do anything at all.”
“Sending you so much love and strength,” commented Pascale Hutton, who appears on the Hallmark original series When Calls the Heart. “My deepest condolences to you and your family.”
“My gosh. This is heartbreaking. So sorry for your loss. Sending huge love to you all,” wrote Will Kemp, who co-starred with Chabert in the 2020 Hallmark movie Christmas Waltz.
Former Home & Family host Debbie Matenopoulos and The Christmas Stakeout star Tamera Mowry also shared messages of support, as did Melissa Joan Hart, Autumn Reeser, Nikki DeLoach, and many others.

In addition to Wendy, Chabert also has another older sister named Crissy and a brother named Tony. The actor often posted about her siblings on social media.
In August 2021, she celebrated National Sisters Day with an Instagram post. “Couldn’t let #nationalsistersday pass without saying how much I love my two sisters,” she wrote. “They are the best big sisters ever and I thank God for them every day. Love you Wendy and Crissy.”
Chabert also talked about her relationship with her siblings in a Nov. 2020 post celebrating Crissy’s birthday, writing, “You and Wendy are the best sisters a girl could hope to have.”
