Lady Gaga is known for breaking a few records
She’s collaborated with Elton John, Celine Dion, Tony Bennett, and Beyoncé. She won the first-ever MTV Video Music Award Tricon Award, accepting the award while wearing a mask. Over the course of her career, Lady Gaga proved to be one of the most powerful voices in pop music.
This performer also connects with fans using more than just social media. About 10 years ago, the artist had her own television special airing for Thanksgiving. Since then, fans have turned to clips on YouTube for some extra magic during the holiday season.
Lady Gaga had her own Thanksgiving special, ‘A Very Gaga Thanksgiving’
In 2011, Lady Gaga celebrated Thanksgiving with her “Little Monsters.” The artist released the television special, A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, on ABC, where she shared stories about her music while performing a few of her originals songs.
“We all know Lady Gaga is a phenomenon,” TV news announcer Katie Couric said in a statement prior to the special’s premiere. “This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers.
“Lady Gaga as a high school student still bruised by being excluded from the party,” she continued. “Lady Gaga as a devoted daughter and caring sister, Lady Gaga as a 25-year-old woman embracing fame and fortune that seemed to come overnight. She will impress you, delight you, and surprise you.”
Lady Gaga isn’t afraid to show off her cooking skills, oftentimes celebrating her Italian heritage. Over the years, the artist shared a few of her favorite pasta sauce (or gravy) recipes, including her bolognese recipe with its secret ingredient, rosé.
Lady Gaga released her original holiday song, ‘Christmas Tree’
This artist proves that she’s the queen of all holidays. She released the original holiday song “Christmas Tree” in 2008. In 2011, along with the Thanksgiving special, Lady Gaga recorded her version of the iconic holiday song, “White Christmas.”
Since then, Lady Gaga shared her acting skills, appearing in the Academy Award-winning film, A Star is Born and co-writing the song, “Shallow.”
The artist also released a jazz album with Tony Bennett, Cheek to Cheek. Recently, she helped organize a coronavirus (COVID-19) concert “from home.”
