Lady Gaga Reveals That She’s Thought About Writing a Broadway Musical ‘for a Really Long Time’

After seamlessly transitioning from music to film, some fans wonder what’s next for this performer. When she was asked during an interview with Variety when fans could expect to see her on Broadway, Lady Gaga didn’t have an exact answer.
“I don’t know, maybe when I write my first musical,” Gaga said. “There are so many amazing musicals, but I love writing music, and I love musical theater. And I know a lot about musical theater, and I know a lot about music.”
“I think I would really enjoy the process of creating a musical,” she continued, “and I’ve thought about it for a really long time.”
She is a proud former New Yorker. However, there are no current plans for Lady Gaga to write and star in a Broadway musical. That artist pushed the Chromatica Ball tour to 2022, with dates to be announced at a later date. She also appeared in several performances alongside Tony Bennett in conjunction with their Love For Sale release.

Although Lady Gaga has no plans to star on Broadway, she often shares her love for musicals and Broadway productions. At the Academy Awards, Lady Gaga performed several songs from The Sound of Music. That includes “The Hills Are Alive,” “My Favorite Things,” and “Climb Every Mountain.”
Recently, Lady Gaga released a remixed version of her Chromatica album, featuring well-known musicians like Elton John, Charli XCX, and Mura Masa. Fans also keep up with the musician on social media. The “Born This Way” artist even created a TikTok account in 2021.
