Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker, Ryan Fischer, Opens up About Harrowing Robbery
Last week, Lady Gaga fans were disturbed to find out that someone had shot her dog walker and stolen two of her dogs, Koji and Gustav. Later, the singer’s dogwalker was identified as Ryan Fischer. Though the dogs have been returned, Fischer is still in the hospital recovering. He recently gave fans more details on what happened during the robbery.
What happened to Lady Gaga’s dogs?
On Feb. 24 around 9:40 p.m., Fischer was walking Gaga’s three dogs on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood. In a video of the incident, obtained by TMZ, Fischer was seen being approached by two individuals who hopped out of a car. One of the men was then heard telling Fischer to “give it up.”
The thieves were able to make off with two of the dogs after shooting Fischer, while the third dog, Asia, was able to get away.
What does Ryan Fischer have to say?
Fischer is still recovering in the hospital, but he recently recounted the event on Instagram.
Four days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gun shot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me. My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own. I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself.
He went on to describe Asia as his “guardian angel and expressed how thankful he was that at least she would be OK.
How is Ryan doing now?
Fischer also gave an update on his health.
“I am still in recovery from a very close call with death and have kept myself (for the most part, I mean I am human) from the growing media story,” he wrote. “I will write and say more later, but the gratitude for all the love I feel from around this planet is immense and intense. I felt your healing support! Thank you. I am humbled and grateful that attention and focus from the police were enough to get Koji and Gustav back to safety, and I know they are committed to bringing these criminals and attempted murderers to justice. I am so appreciative of everything you continue to do.”
He then thanked his family and friends for being there for him and keeping his spirits up throughout this harrowing time, before sending a message out to his boss, Lady Gaga and congratulating her on her dogs being back home.
” @ladygaga: your babies are back and the family is whole… we did it!” he continued. “You have shown so much support throughout this whole crisis to both me and my family. But your support as a friend, despite your own traumatic loss from your kids, was unwavering. I love you and thank you.”
