Latto Spreads Holiday Cheer in Christmas Chic Style, Donating $500K to Her Hometown
Fans know Latto for her “Big Energy,” but the 24-year-old is also building her legacy as a philanthropist. The young rapper has created a tradition for her hometown involving hundreds of thousands of dollars. Latto always manages to make it chic — even when she’s giving back. See her Christmas look and how she donated over $500,000 worth of gifts to her special city.
Latto hasn’t forgotten where she came from
In 2021, Latto founded her nonprofit, the Win Some Give Some Foundation, “to empower at-risk young women by providing them resources and support to achieve a lifetime of success.” One of her biggest events became the Latto 4 The Ladies & Babies Christmas party. She eventually renamed it the annual Christmas in Clayton event. Three years later, Latto returned to Clayton County to host the party, partnering with District 1 Commissioner Dr. Alieka Anderson.
Clayton County is one of the main counties of the Atlanta metro area, home to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Latto grew up in the area after being born in Columbus, Ohio. She credits Clayton County as giving her “street cred,” reports Yahoo. The “Sunday Service” rapper even received a key to the city of Rex, Georgia, located in “ClayCo” as locals call it, and named December 18 “Latto Day.”
Latto gives back this holiday season
On December 9, Latto packed the gymnasium of Clayton State University with supporters ready to celebrate the holidays. The “Muwop” rapper and her partners gave away $500,000 worth of gifts donated and sponsored by brands including UGG, Apple, Savage X Fenty, Wingstop, Rap Snacks, Liquid Death, HALLS, Camille Rose, and more.
Latto never misses an opportunity to dress up. The “Lottery” songstress went all out for the event in a red strapless mini dress with matching tights and pointed-toe heels. She dressed her decolletage with a yellow-gold Chanel necklace and matching gold stud earrings. Latto wore her golden hair in a slicked-back bun and opted for natural makeup with fluttery lashes, defined brows, and a neutral lip. The look was a perfect blend of style and substance while remaining appropriate for hugging kids and handing out gifts.
Latto continues to make a difference in her community and beyond. Dr. Anderson explained how much it means to Clayton County residents. “Words cannot express how amazing it is to have Latto return to Clayton County to help spread some holiday cheer throughout our community,” she stated. “Her generosity is sincerely appreciated for our children and our community.”
