It’s been a long time since fans of Lauren Bushnell Lane have seen her on their television screens. The Portland native became a household name after she competed on the 20th season of The Bachelor and won. Bushnell Lane eventually got engaged to Ben Higgins and the pair even had their own reality TV show together, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?, which aired on Freeform. But, the engagement was short-lived and the pair called it quits after a year.

Since then, both Bushnell Lane and Higgins have moved on and found their happiness outside of The Bachelor world. Higgins is newly engaged to his fiancée, Jessica Clarke, and the pair are planning their wedding for sometime in 2021. Meanwhile, Bushnell Lane has found love with country singer, Chris Lane, and the pair were married last year.

‘The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever!’

Though Higgins and Bushnell Lane have obviously moved on from their engagement and their time on reality TV, they were recently forced to confront their past thanks to The Bachelor. Because the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic messed up shooting schedules, the franchise is airing abbreviated versions of past seasons in a show called The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ever! every Monday night.

This past Monday, June 22, 2020, Bachelor Nation traveled back in time to 2016 to re-experience Higgins’ season. This caused many former contestants to promote the show and reminisce about their experiences. Even Higgins’ runner up, JoJo Fletcher, (who eventually became The Bachelorette) posted a picture of her with her fiancé, Jordan Rodgers, stating that she would get dumped on National TV all over again in order to meet him.

Fans question Lauren Bushnell Lane about why she didn’t promote her season

But, while many former contestants from Higgins season of The Bachelor were taking a stroll down memory lane, fans noticed that the winner, Bushnell Lane, was noticeably quiet. They began to demand answers about why she wasn’t promoting her season being re-aired. Furthermore, they questioned if she had plans to watch the season with her husband. After seeing so many inquiries, Bushnell Lane took to her Instagram story to set the record straight.

“Woah! So many questions about why I’m not promoting the seasons of the bachelor re-airing of if I’m watching. Chris and I won’t be watching but it sounds like a fun walk down memory lane! I’m very thankful for the show and the experience. Have nothing but respect for everyone I shared that chapter with including the producers, Ben, and all the lifelong friendships I made,” Bushnell Lane began.

Bushnell is very happy with her husband, Chris Lane

“I know with all my heart that it lead me to where I am today, I’m not sure I would have met my husband had I not put myself out there and gone on the show. I’m a better person for it — but that chapter doesn’t define who I am and it never did! Thanks for all the love and support always. I don’t always talk about it all — I’d rather let others do all the talking, — but that’s not because I didn’t enjoy the experience, I’ve just moved on and am incredibly happy now,” Bushnell Lane concluded. It seems like all parties involved are happy with how things turned out. We hope that now fans will let them enjoy their post-Bachelor lives.
