‘Law & Order: SVU’: 5 Rappers Who Have Guest-Starred on the Show
Everyone knows that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit has a resident iconic rapper in Ice-T, who portrays Detective Fin Tutuola. But outside of Ice-T, SVU has had a plethora of influential rappers from the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.
Ludacris
Ludacris portrayed the character of Darius Parker for two episodes, “Venom” in the show’s seventh season and “Screwed” in the show’s eighth season. In the show, he is the half-brother and nephew of Ice-T’s son, Ken (Kwasi Randall). Parker was a very volatile and menacing character, never recovering from being the product of rape as his grandfather assault he and Ken’s mother when she was young.
Big Boi
Big Boi portrayed a fictional rapper, Gots Money, on the episode “Wildlife” from the tenth season of the show. The episode revolves around an illegal animal smuggling ring. Gots Money is involved in this and is eventually tapped by stabler to help take the ring down. Unfortunately, he is killed by one of his exotic animals.
Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg appeared on the historic twentieth season of the show. In the episode, he appears a rap artist named R.B. Banks. The episode revolves around a feud between him another rapper, portrayed by Orlando Jones. The other rapper’s wife, played by Amber Stevens West, seemingly gets caught in the crossfire.
Method Man
Method Man guest-starred in the episode “Snitch” in the ninth season of the show, portraying the character Dennis King. The episode revolves around a multilayered case that spurs from the SVU squad finding out a teen murder victim who was an immigrant was married to a polygamist.
2 Chainz
2 Chainz guest-starred in the episode “Poisoned Motive” from the fourteenth season of the show. The episode has two cases that the team comes to realize are both connected through Fin. 2 Chainz portrays Calvin “Pearlie” Jones, a man who his caught up in one of the cases. This episode also features Kathryn Erbe appearing as her Law & Order: Criminal Intent character, Lieutenant Alexandra Eames.
