‘Law & Order: SVU’: Fans React to a Huge Moment From a New Trailer Teasing More of Rollins and Carisi’s Relationship: ‘I Have Shipped Them Since Carisi’s First Episode’
Fans of Law & Order: SVU know that certain characters seem to be magnetic with one another. The chemistry is palpable and it’s unclear if it could be more than a friendship. Of course, that includes Detective Amanda Rollins (Kelli Giddish) and ADA Dominick “Sonny” Carisi Jr. (Peter Scanavino). It seems the relationship between Rollins and Carisi in SVU is taking a romantic turn, and fans recently reacted to a moment between the two in a trailer teasing what’s to come in season 23 of and season 2 of Organized Crime.

Rollins and Carisi in SVU have worked together since season 16 when Carisi first came to the squad as a detective. He’s now the ADA of the Special Victims Unit, and over the years, these two have worked well together. They truly care about each other as good friends, and it’s clear they’re close. Although they’ve both been with other people over the years, they’ve kept a strong connection which has prompted fans to ship them and want them to get together romantically.
The chemistry between them is evident, and it all came to a head in the finale of season 22. At the party for Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola’s (Ice-T) wedding (which didn’t happen by the way) to Phoebe Baker (Jennifer Esposito), Rollins takes the opportunity and kisses Carisi. He kisses her back, and it’s a beautiful moment between them.

NBC has been doing its part to tease season 23 of SVU and season 2 of Organized Crime, which both premiere on September 23 at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. EST. In a recent trailer for both shows, there’s a moment between Rollins and Carisi where they kiss again. At one point, Rollins is up against the wall with a hand on Carisi’s head and neck, so things are getting passionate between them. It looks like things will go further than just that one kiss from the finale, which is exciting news for fans who want these two to be together.
Fans react to the huge moment between Rollins and Carisi
On September 15, 2021, a fan on Reddit made a post titled, “Um, hello! 😳 I’m so excited for this! 😃 More Rollisi! Yes, please! 😁👏🏻🥰.” They included shots of Rollins and Carisi kissing in the promo. As can be expected, fans have a lot of opinions about the situation. Most fans seem to be on board for Rollisi to finally get together.
“Freaking took forever but we got there,” a fan said about it.
One fan has wanted the two of them to be together since Carisi first came on the series, and that’s quite a long time. “I have shipped them since Carisi’s first episode,” a fan said.
A fan needs this situation, and we can understand why because we’re right there with them. “I need this, way better storyline than Olivia and Elliot,” they said.
Another fan doesn’t hold back, and says, “I am the embodiment of every crying with joy reaction meme right now yessss 😭😭.”
But some fans don’t want to see them together
However, not everyone wants these two to get together, which is to be expected. “I’m really really not a fan of this,” a fan admitted. “Just have them be friends!”
“Nooooo I love both characters for different reasons but I don’t like the idea of them, have no idea why though,” another fan wrote.
While one fan straight up doesn’t think Rollins even deserves Carisi. “Rollins doesn’t deserve Carisi,” they said.
The majority of fans seem to like the events from the trailer involving another kiss between Rollins and Carisi. We’ll have to see how things go between them when season 23 of SVU premieres.
