Remini also celebrated Lopez’s 47th birthday in Las Vegas, and they co-starred in Second Act together in 2018.
“We understand each other’s lives,” Lopez said of Remini on The View in 2018. “We have similar lives and similar careers, and we understand nuances that other people don’t understand, so that also bonded us.”
Unfortunately, Remini and Lopez seemed to have a falling out in 2021. Remini didn’t like answering questions about Lopez. In 2022, Remini reportedly didn’t attend Lopez and Ben Affleck’s wedding, raising questions regarding how she feels about the couple.
A source told Page Six that Remini fought with Lopez over her decision to marry Affleck before Lopez and Affleck’s wedding. Remini allegedly asked Lopez to remember why she and Affleck broke up in the first place, “because he is selfish and is not fully committed as a partner,” the source shared.
The source added that Remini hoped to reconnect with Lopez amid the divorce rumors in 2024. “They were friends for years,” they said. “She wants to reach out to her, but she can’t just call up and say, ‘I told you so.’”

“Lean isn’t a fan of Ben’s,” an insider said. “They don’t get along, and when you go up against someone’s partner, you always lose.”
“Leah was there for Jen when Ben broke her heart,” they continued. “Leah knows everything, all the ugly details about what went down between her best friend and Ben. No wonder she doesn’t like him. Jennifer might have been ready to move on and forgive Ben, but Leah hasn’t and is worried it will happen again.”
Yet another insider claimed that Lopez’s life changed after marrying Affleck, and Remini wasn’t ready to see less of Lopez. “Jennifer is a newlywed and wants to be with her new husband, not her friends,” the source alleged. “All friendships change after you meet ‘the one.’ She has one of the biggest careers, she has kids, and now she has a new husband too. Jennifer doesn’t have time to hang out with Leah anymore. Leah needs to get over it, or she will lose her friend for good.”
