‘Legacies’: How Old Is Danielle Rose Russell?
After all the success The Vampire Diaries and The Originals had on The CW, Legacies has also become a successful show that now features a new generation of vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings. However, the star of the show came from The Originals, as Danielle Rose Russell (Hope Mikaelson) first entered The Vampire Diaries universe in season 5 of the past spinoff that was centered around Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan).
Now, she is the star of the newest chapter, as she is playing a teenage tribrid and the daughter of Klaus. So, since Russell is playing a high schooler, how old is she in real life? Here’s a look at Russell’s age and how it compares to the ages of her co-stars.
Danielle Rose Russell was born in 1999
According to IMDb, Russell was born on Oct. 31, 1999, which makes her 21 as of May 2021.
Her first credited role came when she was about 15 years old on A Walk Among the Tombstones with Liam Neeson. She also appeared on Aloha with Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, and John Krasinski before appearing in multiple episodes of The Last Tycoon with Matt Bomer in 2016 and 2017.
Russell first began playing Hope Mikaelson in The Originals and Legacies on The CW in 2018.
How old are her ‘Legacies’ co-stars?
Among Russell’s co-stars are Matthew Davis (Alaric), Aria Shahghasemi (Landon), Kaylee Bryant (Josie), Quincy Fouse (MG), Chris Lee (Kaleb), Jenny Boyd (Lizzie), and Ben Levin (Jed).
So, how old are all of these stars?
Of course, Davis, who also played a prominent role on The Vampire Diaries, is older than the rest, as he was born in 1978. Shahghasemi, on the other hand, was born in 1996, while Bryant and Fouse were born in 1997, and Lee in 1994.
The oldest among the stars acting as high schoolers, though, are Boyd and Levin. The former was born in 1991 and Levin was born in 1987.
Will any more ‘Vampire Diaries’ or ‘Originals’ stars appear on ‘Legacies’?
Of course, Russell first appeared on The Originals, and Davis is a former Vampire Diaries star, but will any other past characters from the other CW shows within the universe appear on Legacies?
Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert) and Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan) both previously made appearances, and anyone else can bring their old roles back to life if they’d like to.
“We have a very open-door policy when it comes to that,” executive producer Brett Matthews said to TV Insider. “If any of the actors from our past ever called us and we had the right story, we’d do it in a second. There’s always a chance, and if any did, I wouldn’t want to spoil those things. If anybody’s dying to come back and dip a toe back into this universe, just tell them to call me.”
Fans would most likely love to see Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) or Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) make appearances on Legacies. Russell and her co-stars, though, are doing great on the show as it is.
