Leonardo DiCaprio Is ‘Not At All Thinking’ About Diddy’s Case Despite Party Connection, Source Says
Federal agents arrested Sean “Diddy” Combs in September 2024. Prosecutors charged the hip-hop mogul with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. While Combs pleaded not guilty to the charges, he remains behind bars after two bail attempts. Now, all eyes are on the celebrities who attended his parties through the years. And Leonardo DiCaprio is gaining attention for his past friendship with Combs. Here’s what a source said regarding DiCaprio’s feelings about Combs’ arrest.
Leonardo DiCaprio allegedly doesn’t have Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest on his radar
Celebrities knew Sean “Diddy” Combs for his lavish parties where A-listers gathered all night in the early 2000s. Combs held his historic White Parties every year between 1998 and 2009. The hip-hop mogul demanded that all guests abide by the all-white dress code. He explained how he wanted to “strip away everyone’s image and put us all in the same color and on the same level.”
Leonardo DiCaprio attended Combs’ White Parties starting in 1998. A photo posted by DailyMail.com shows a young DiCaprio laughing and smoking with Combs and other friends. Combs once said DiCaprio was the “number one person” he invited to his parties.
While Combs and DiCaprio once seemed close, a source close to DiCaprio says the actor has “not been in contact” with Combs for years. And he never attended Combs’ sex parties known as “freak-offs.”
“Leonardo DiCaprio has absolutely nothing to do with any of this,” the source said, according to DailyMail.com. “He attended a few of his parties back in the early 2000s — but literally everyone did. They were not freak-offs. They were big house parties. Leo was at the start of his career at the time and has moved way past his partying. He has nothing to do with any of that world, so for anyone to assume that he will get roped into this based on a few grainy photos that are more than 20 years old is ridiculous.”
The source added that DiCaprio stays focused on his own life and is “not at all thinking about Diddy’s federal case, which he has nothing to do with.”
Leonardo DiCaprio is keeping a low profile in the wake of the news
A-list actor Leonardo DiCaprio likely doesn’t want involvement in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ court case. He appeared to keep a low profile in September 2024 after photos from 20 years ago showed him at Combs’ White Parties.
On Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, DiCaprio attended a Paris Fashion Week party at the Costes Hotel. According to DailyMail.com, he arrived with his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, and supermodel Neelam Gill. As DiCaprio’s ride pulled up to the hotel, the actor covered the top of his head with a black beanie and the rest of his face with a gray mask. Ceretti and Gill did not try to conceal their identities as they stepped out for the party.
Several celebrities should expect to receive subpoenas Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ court case draws near
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ court case likely involves celebrities aside from Leonardo DiCaprio. Former prosecutor Neama Rahmani told The U.S. Sun that some celebrities might receive subpoenas. However, they can refuse to testify under certain circumstances.
“Jay-Z and other celebrities can be subpoenaed, but they will almost certainly assert their Fifth Amendment privilege against self-incrimination and refuse to testify,” Rahmani said. “People who participated in the sex acts should especially be afraid because they can also be charged with sex trafficking or prostitution, depending on whether they used threats or force against the victims.”
